Rosehill horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (14:20) Long May We Play Maiden (1200m)
#2 – Blondeau @ $2.65 – Bet Now
Strong money has come for the debutante, which has finished second in two trials to prepare for this.
The two-year-old colt by I Am Invincible has shown good speed in both trials and it’s good to see his opening price get taken.
He opened at $3.20 and has already been backed into $2.65. That’s a strong move on debut and the Chris Waller-trained runner should be respected.
Race 2. (14:55) Bowermans Office Furniture Maiden (1100m)
#4 – Kateru @ $3.30 – Bet Now
James Cummings lines up the three-year-old colt which ran well enough on debut to be considered here.
The nicely-bred son of Sepoy is much shorter in the betting here than he was on debut when paying $11. That’s a good sign going forward as it shows he has grown since.
James McDonald takes the ride from barrier three and he should lob into a nice position and be fighting out the finish.
Race 3. (15:30) Iron Jack BM70 (1900m)
#7 – Earth Song @ $2.90 – Bet Now
Chris Waller has a three-horse charge in this race but Earth Song looks the best of his chances.
The three-year-old filly broke through for the win at Canterbury last start and she could kick on with it now.
It was a hard-fought victory over Diamonds And Rust, which should prove to be a good form guide for the future.
She gets the weight advantage over most of the field and the inside draw helps.
Race 4. (16:05) Astern Yearlings BM64 (1300m)
#10 – Maisaa @ $10 – Bet Now
Maisaa is on the drift but she could offer punters with some tremendous value in what should be a close race.
The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained filly scored by 1.5 lengths at Scone where she made up impressive ground in the straight.
Her form has come against easier opposition than this, but she’s still on the rise.
Punters are getting double-figure odds here and that’s great value. She could attract late attention in the betting so take the odds on offer.
Race 5. (16:40) Ranvet BM70 (1500m)
#8 – Austria @ $6.50 – Bet Now
Austria has talent and could provide punters with some great value in this race.
The Waller-trained five-year-old has one win and three placings from eight starts. She scored that win over a good field in New Zealand before having five starts in Australia.
She ran some solid races behind some quality types and punters had to take some short odds on offer.
The $6.50 on offer is great value for a consistent mare.
Race 6. (17:15) More Than Ready BM70 (1500m)
#9 – Zouologist @ $8 – Bet Now
Zouologist is looking to bounce back after a poor outing at Randwick but he looked better at the trials earlier this month.
The four-year-old ran second at the Rosehill trials and his best form would take him close here. He finished second at Warwick Farm two back and he has good form guides.
He placed behind Reelem In Ruby on two occasions and that’s city-class form.
Drawing barrier 12 won’t make it easy but it’s another good ride from James McDonald and punters are getting good odds.
Race 7. (17:50) Rosehill Bowling Club BM70 (1300m)
#11 – Yamazaki @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Yamazaki has been steady in the betting and she could run a good race fresh up.
The David Pfieffer-trained mare has finished in the first three in 11 of her 19 starts and that’s good consistency.
The daughter of Real Saga has been prepared with two trial placings at Warwick Farm and Rosehill, which bodes well for this.
Punters are getting good value and the odds are worth taking.
