Rosehill racing tips

Race 1. (14:20) Drinkwise Maiden (1200m)

#8 – Spice Prawn @ $2.90

Money has come for Spice Prawn, who has shown glimpses of good form, and this is a winnable maiden race.

The Peter Snowden-trained filly ran well for fourth at Warwick Farm fresh up, and she only lacked fitness over the concluding stages.

Betting moves are telling, so she should run well.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 2. (14:55) Rosehill Bowling Club Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Peleus @ $7.00

Peleus went close at Gosford last time out, which was a good form reversal from what he showed last campaign.

The three-year-old son of Pariah had good betting support last time out, and it won’t take much improvement to see him win.

Adam Hyernonimus is riding well, which adds to our confidence.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (15:30) Asahi Super Dry Maiden (1500m)

#9 – Fireball Miss @ $4.40

Ciaron Maher lines up Fireball Miss, who ran well enough for fifth on debut at Warwick Farm.

There is improvement to come for the three-year-old daughter of Bivouac, who gets every chance in the run from the draw.

We don’t think it’ll take her long to break maidens.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (16:05) Ranvet BM78 (2400m)

#2 – Centenario @ $2.30

Centenario is gunning for consecutive wins after scoring at Canterbury, and he showed good toughness to get it done.

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained gelding owns three wins and five placings from 14 starts, and his confidence levels are rising.

Look for him to find the front off the inside draw, and he should be tough to beat from there.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (16:40) Anamoe First Yearlings BM72 (1100m)

#1 – Caesar @ $4.40

Money has come for Caesar, who made it two wins and two placings from four starts when winning at Canterbury fresh up.

The three-year-old son of Capitalist won by a length fresh up, and he could have matured into a smart type this season.

His opening odds of $7 were too high, and he has been confidently backed since.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (17:15) Tab BM72 (1500m)

#3 – Samarelle @ $6.50

Punters get value odds for Samarelle, who showed enough when running fifth fresh up at Warwick Farm.

The three-year-old filly by Savabeel has a Group 3 placing behind the highly touted Panova, so anything close to that should be good enough.

We think bookies have made a mistake with the odds, so snap up the value.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 7. (17:50) Ole Kirk at Vinery Stud BM72 (1400m)

#4 – Mamushka @ $4.00

Mamushka is a consistent type with three wins and four placings from nine starts, including a second placing at Warwick Farm last time out.

The four-year-old mare by Capitalist was beaten as a $1.65 chance, but she didn’t lose any admirers, and $4 is a much better price.

She only needs luck from a wide draw to go close.

Stake: 1.5 Units
