There are some smart customers lining up in Sydney and we have our best value bets available.
Rosehill horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:20) The Agency Real Estate BM72 (1300m)
#5 – Kir Royale @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Kir Royale is shooting for three consecutive wins after beating a nice field by a half-length last time out.
The three-year-old filly didn’t have all luck when winning last start, so it was a nice effort to get the job done.
Claiming down to 53.5kg is ideal and the early betting support is there.
Race 2. (12:55) Davali Handicap (1100m)
#3 – Metallicity – Bet @ Sportsbet
Metallicity comes off two trial wins at Canterbury and Rosehill, so the early signs are positive.
The Snowden-trained two-year-old scored by a half-length at Rosehill and the $340,000 purchase has upside.
It could pay to watch early betting moves, but we expect money to come.
Race 3. (13:30) Tab Highway C3 Handicap (1500m)
#11 – Pay the Deeler – Bet @ Sportsbet
Pay the Deeler is only a three-time winner from 29 starts, but two of those wins came earlier this preparation.
The five-year-old daughter of Dundeel comes off a second placing at Sandown and we expect that form to stack up ideally for Highway Handicap level.
Dropping to 51kg is ideal, so she goes on top.
Race 4. (14:05) Midway BM72 (1200m)
#6 – Sky Command @ $2.35 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Sky Command started her career with consecutive wins before running eighth behind Paulele and In the Conga.
Her most recent effort was a second placing by a nose at Randwick, so the form checks out and she loves racing on rain-affected tracks.
Getting 2kg off her back should see her right in contention.
Race 5. (14:40) Hyland Race Colours BM78 (2000m)
#5 – Niffler @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Niffler started her career with three consecutive wins before running second behind Dhakuri and Casino Kid in consecutive starts.
The four-year-old mare was beaten by the weight disadvantage last start, but dropping to 53kg could turn the tables.
Getting the inside draw is another positive, so she should be tough to beat.
Race 6. (15:15) ACY Securities BM78 (1500m)
#1 – For Valour @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
For Valour owns four wins from his last five starts and the four-year-old gelding goes on top again.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained son of Zoustar likes to roll forward and give them something to catch, which is usually a winning formula.
He’s running well enough to beat them.
Race 7. (15:55) Schweppes BM88 (1100m)
#2 – The Bopper @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Bopper comes off a 1.3-length win at Randwick, which was his fourth win from only eight attempts.
He is a four-year-old son of Nicconi who failed in his only attempt at Rosehill, but his recent success is a good betting guide.
Most of the early money has come for The Bopper, so he’s worth sticking with.
Race 8. (16:35) Ranvet BM78 (1350m)
#4 – Mensa Missile @ $4 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Mensa Missile has finished second in two of his three starts this preparation, so he’s getting close.
The five-year-old son of Smart Missile won its only race at the distance and he handles all conditions, so he’s suited by the track.
After opening at $4.20, there has been some solid betting support.
Race 9. (17:20) Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 (1200m)
#8 – El Buena @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
El Buena comes off a win at Rosehill and he’s good enough to go back-to-back.
The four-year-old son of Rubick is a three-time winner at the distance and he has faced harder fields in the past.
Punters get each way odds and they’re worth taking.
Race 10. (18:00) Ned Whisky BM78 (1100m)
#2 – Salina Dreaming @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Salina Dreaming is a noted fresh up performer with three wins from four attempts.
The daughter of Dream Ahead has lovely form on wet tracks with three wins on soft tracks, so conditions are ideal.
Dropping in weight helps and the early money has come.
