Rosehill horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:25) Darley Handicap (1100m)

#2 – Andermatt @ $3.40 – Bet Now

Andermatt was only narrowly beaten by Anders last start and he is good enough to go one better here.

The James Cummings-trained colt won on debut at Kembla Grange before rising in opposition and running easily good enough for this race.

Hugh Bowman rides and most of the early money has come his way.

Race 2. (12:00) Tab Highway C3 Plate (1500m)

#2 – Leg Work – Bet Now

Leg Work put in the work to score at Rosehill last start. The Danny Williams-trained gelding made up good ground in the straight to score a powerful win.

He is a son of Shamus Award that is capable of going on with it. He now owns three wins from seven starts and he has been a touch unlucky to not have a couple more wins.

Drawing wide is ideal as he likes to have time to wind up down the outside.

Race 3. (12:35) Yes Yes Yes New Coolmore BM78 (1500m)

#1 – Bound to Win – Bet Now

Bound to Win continued her winning run when making it back-to-back wins at Rosehill last time out.

The Snowden-trained three-year-old scored by just under two lengths and it was her fourth win from seven starts.

Drawing barrier 11 is a touch awkward but she could remain unbeaten at this track.

Race 4. (13:10) Tab Winter Cup (2400m)

#1 – Wu Gok @ $2.50 – Bet Now

Wu Gok loves the conditions and comes into this race having scored an effortless win in heavy conditions.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding won by 3.8 lengths at Rosehill and it’s a track that he performs well at. He owns two wins and a placing at Rosehill, so he is worth backing.

The early money has come his way and he is a 10-time winner that knows how to cross the line first.

Race 5. (13:50) Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 (1200m)

#13 – Switched – Bet Now

Switched rarely runs a bad race and although a touch costly her last few runs, she is well worth sticking with.

The Brad Widdup-trained filly has two wins and six placings to her name, missing a placing in only one attempt. Her most recent start came at Randwick when running second behind Witherspoon, so the form reads well.

Getting in with a light weight should make a difference and we are expecting a big effort.

Race 6. (14:30) De Bortoli Wines BM88 (1800m)

#11 – Milk Man – Bet Now

Milk Man is getting close to a win after three straight placings and he meets a field that is there for the taking.

The imported son of Kitten’s Joy ran an unlucky second placing two back at Doomben before finishing runner-up to Gresham.

Getting the inside draw should see him on the pace and tough to beat from there.

Race 7. (15:10) Catanach’s Sprint BM88 (1100m)

#12 – Broken Arrows – Bet Now

The four-year-old gelding is nearing a win after finishing a close second behind Adelong at Rosehill. He was a touch unlucky to not win, but he gets another chance here.

He is facing similar opposition and the consistent son of Smart Missile gets the weight advantage after carrying 54.5kg.

His best efforts come at this distance and he should add another good run to his record.

Race 8. (15:50) Iron Jack BM94 (1300m)

#1 – Invictus Prince – Bet Now

It was hard not to like the performance of Invictus Prince fresh up. The Matthew Smith-trained gelding ran second behind Coruscate and he could break a winning drought here.

The seven-year-old has produced some good performances throughout his career, but most of those have been placings. With Hugh Bowman riding, he gets every chance to go one better and the odds should appeal.

Race 9. (16:25) Sky Racing Active BM78 (1300m)

#3 – Bandersnatch – Bet Now

Gerald Ryan lines up the three-year-old that has been backed and beaten twice this campaign. He has been disappointing in two runs back, but the real Bandersnatch shouldn’t be far off from appearing.

He has been primed with a recent trial win at Rosehill and those were positive signs. Stick with him and his turn will come shortly.
