Rosehill free tips & form
Race 1. (11:30) Tab Highway Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Mr Wong @ $4 – Bet Now
Good thing beaten last time out when flashing home along the inside of runners. Hasn’t really done much wrong during his career and this looks a winning race.
The three-year-old has two wins and two second placings from five starts. That’s a good enough record to be competitive in a Highway Handicap race.
Race 2. (12:05) Kensei Handicap (2000m)
#2 – So You Win @ $1.50 – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the four-year-old gelding which has rattled off consecutive wins coming into this.
The son of So You Think is in career-best form and gets into this race ideally with only 55.5kg on his back.
Jason Collett takes the ride and his confidence is brimming.
Race 3. (12:40) Winter Racing BM74 (1400m)
#2 – England @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Scored consecutive wins earlier this season before running a game second placing behind River Bird last time out.
There was nothing wrong with that run and he’s a real up-and-coming type from the Waller stable.
Drawing barrier nine won’t be an issue on a heavy track and punters are getting good each-way odds.
Race 4. (13:15) Hyland EOFY Sale BM78 (1800m)
#7 – Itz Lily @ $3.60 – Bet Now
That was an impressive win down the outside of runners last start and that form is likely to continue here.
The Kris Lees-trained three-year-old took her impressive career record to four wins and three second placings from eight starts. That’s some record for an improving type and it should handle this grade.
Gets some weight off her back and should be tough to beat.
Race 5. (13:50) Stayer’s Cup (3200m)
#7 – Social Element @ $6.50 – Bet Now
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained runner has been in good form this campaign with a win and a placing.
He scored a good fresh up win at Cranbourne before running second over the hurdles last time out. That form should hold up nicely over 3200m and dropping to 54kg helps.
Wide draw won’t be an issue over this distance.
Race 6. (14:25) Tab Rewards BM78 (1200m)
#14 – River Bird @ $5 – Bet Now
Jason Coyle is training a good team at the moment and River Bird is leading the way. She has scored two wins from her last three starts and is heading in the right direction.
She’s a three-year-old filly which scored narrowly at Rosehill last start and is a real danger at the weights. She carries 54kg before Jenny Duggan’s apprentice claim, so she should be right around the mark.
Race 7. (15:05) Civic Stakes (1350m)
#8 – Organza @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Organza is overdue a winning turn after posting five consecutive placings. The James Cummings-trained mare went close at Ipswich behind a smart type and the form out of that will stack up nicely.
Her recent placings have all been behind nice types and punters are getting nice odds this time around.
Take the $4.40 as that could firm into a much lower price come race day.
Race 8. (15:45) Everest Carnival BM94 (1100m)
#1 – Bon Amis @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Quality five-year-old which enjoys running in the wet and conditions should suit this Saturday.
The son of Bon Hoffa is a seven-time winner from 16 starts and although lumped with a big weight, having an apprentice in the saddle will help with that.
Gets the inside draw and he won’t have to do much work from there.
Race 9. (16:25) Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 (1500m)
#11 – Nicochet @ $4 – Bet Now
Another Coyle-trained runner which has been knocking on the door for some time now and could finally repay punters.
The five-year-old gelding has placed at his last five starts and pushed some nice horses very close. That form looks good for this and from barrier three, we’re expecting a good ride from Kathy O’Hara.
$4 is a fair price from bookmakers.
