Rosehill horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:20) Bowermans Furniture Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Cape Breton @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Cape Breton comes off a tidy debut win at Canterbury and we think that form will stack up nicely.

We like the way the two-year-old colt went through the line and there has been solid betting support throughout the week.

Watch for late betting moves.

Race 2. (11:55) Tab Highway C3 Handicap (1100m)

#1 – Ice in Vancouver @ $2.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ice in Vancouver has won three of his four starts and he was never in doubt when winning at Tamworth by 3.8 lengths.

The son of Vancouver pulled up with a problem in his only Highway Handicap starts, so it pays to forgive that effort.

He’s smart and he only needs luck from the barrier.

Race 3. (12:30) Bisley Workwear BM72 (1800m)

#10 – Wicklow @ $3.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Wicklow is a handy type that scored a breakthrough win at Newcastle by a length. That form has since stacked up nicely and he could kick on with it.

The son of Twilight Son gets in nicely on the weights at 55.5kg and we wouldn’t be surprised if he scored consecutive wins.

Watch late betting moves with this runner.

Race 4. (13:05) Fujitsu General BM72 (1400m)

#10 – Astero @ $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Astero is shooting for three consecutive wins and he was strong winning at Newcastle by 1.5 lengths last start.

The three-year-old gelding has yet to race at Rosehill, but he loves the distance and he should firm in the betting throughout the week.

Barrier two is ideal and $7.50 is well worth taking.

Race 5. (13:40) ACY Securities BM78 (1200m)

#12 – Rammstein @ $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Drifting in the betting is Rammstein, but the four-year-old should be tough to beat with the drop in weight.

The son of Snitzel owns two wins and six second placings from 14 starts, so he is rarely out of the money and he should present a challenge to this field.

Getting in with 54.5kg on his back is ideal, so he goes on top.

Race 6. (14:20) The Agency Real Estate BM78 (1500m)

#2 – Love Tap @ $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Love Tap had plenty of support last start but was disappointing when finishing seventh behind Glitter Strip at Doomben.

The talented three-year-old gelding owns four wins from six starts and he has a bright future, so we’re expecting a bounce-back performance.

He won his only start on this track and punters get fair odds.

Race 7. (15:00) XXXX Winter Cup (2400m)

#12 – Knights Order @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Knights Order should be ready to show his best after two runs this campaign and he’s a smart type at his best.

The six-year-old gelding is a five-time winner from 15 starts and drawing barrier two should see him finding the front with ease.

$4.80 is well worth taking and 53.5kg is ideal.

Race 8. (15:40) Precise Air BM94 (1800m)

#12 – Mubariz @ $4.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The Chris Waller-trained five-year-old comes off a win at Rosehill and he’s capable of scoring back-to-back victories.

He is a five-time winner from 19 starts and he gets into the race ideally on the weights at 53.5kg. That will help and he won his only start on this track.

Punters should get a good sight and the odds could firm.

Race 9. (16:20) Rosehill Bowling Club BM78 (1200m)

#13 – Hellenism @ $15 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The five-year-old mare comes off a second placing at Rosehill and we’re expecting that form to stack up nicely.

She has yet to finish worse than fifth over this distance and with only 55kg on her back, she shouldn’t be far off them.

$15 is a price worth taking in the last race.
