Rosehill horse racing tips

Race 1. (11:25) Tab Highway C3 Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Patino Ruby @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Patino Ruby is a smart three-year-old filly that comes off a win at Scone by two lengths. She has since won a trial and this stable produces many Highway Handicap winners.

The daughter of More Than Ready owns two wins and a second placing from three starts, so she has made a consistent start to her career.

$4.80 is a fair price for an open race.

Race 2. (12:00) Rosehill Bowling Club Handicap (1300m)

#7 – Overmann @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Overmann comes off a second placing at Canterbury and although facing a good field, that form stacks up nicely.

The Hawkes-trained two-year-old deserves a win and although taking on race winners, he has more upside than most.

Barrier four is ideal and we’re confident of a big effort.

Race 3. (12:35) Cellarbrations BM72 (1500m)

#7 – Tectonicus @ $6.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Tectonicus has yet to run worse than third in five starts this campaign and we can’t overlook that form.

The three-year-old gelding owns two wins and seven placings from 10 starts, including a second placing at Gosford last time out.

He’s an honest customer that should go close.

Race 4. (13:10) ACY Securities BM78 (1200m)

#6 – Blondeau @ $1.95 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Blondeau comes off an impressive win at Gosford where he kicked away for a 3.3-length victory.

The three-year-old has the ability to rise through the grades and we’re not surprised at the shortening odds for Blondeau.

Chris Waller has him running well and another win looms.

Race 5. (13:45) Precise Air BM78 (1200m)

#1 – Lillemor @ $7.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Value is with Lillemor, which doesn’t know how to run a bad race. She owns five wins and five placings from 15 starts, including a win and placing on the track.

The two-time winner at 1200m is fresh up and she owns two fresh-up wins, so the statistics are in her favour.

Barrier 13 makes it harder, but the 2kg claim helps with the big weight.

Race 6. (14:25) De Bortoli Wines BM72 (2000m)

#2 – Maranoa @ $3.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Maranoa rises in grade but he comes off two wins from three starts, so the ability is there.

The three-year-old gelding got the job done at Wagga by 1.8 lengths earlier this month and he’s good enough to go back-to-back.

He is a son of Snitzel x. Faint Perfume, so he’s royally bred and he rise in distance is ideal.

Race 7. (15:05) Lord Mayors Cup (2000m)

#2 – Polly Grey @ $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The former Kiwi runner has won two of her last three starts and she’s living up to expectations.

Chris Waller lines up the daughter of Azamour, which has yet to miss a placing at Rosehill and her win at Gosford last start came over a quality field.

She would love some rain, but the soft-rated surface is ideal.

Race 8. (15:45) XXXX BM88 (1500m)

#11 – Ellsberg @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ellsberg is a classy three-year-old colt that was too good for them at Randwick two back before running fourth at Hawkesbury.

The son of Spill the Beans was only 1.5 lengths behind Exoboom and there is little wrong with that form going forward.

Barrier four with 55.5kg on his back is ideal.

Race 9. (16:25) Ranvet BM78 (1800m)

#14 – So Wicked @ $20 – Bet @ Sportsbet

So Wicked is mixing her form but she looked the goods when winning at Canterbury two back and she didn’t enjoy the longer distance last start.

The daughter of Street Cry is paying a value price with bookmakers, which is unusual for a Waller-trained runner.

$20 is well worth taking in the last race.
