Rosehill horse racing tips

Race 1. (13:15) Sky Racing Active Handicap (1100m)

#1 – Muntaseera @ $2.40 – Bet Now

Muntaseera was beaten on debut but certainly not disgraced when running second down the Flemington straight.

The Maher/Eustace-trained filly ran 1.8 lengths behind Aryaaf and that’s always a strong form guide for the future.

Drawn a touch awkwardly from barrier seven but this field is there for the taking.

Race 2. (13:50) Tab Highway Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Bullet Speed @ $2.65 – Bet Now

It was an impressive debut performance from Bullet Speed, which scored by just under a length at Eagle Farm.

He then went to Doomben and ran fourth behind a smart type after attempting to lead throughout. He might get some cover here, which would help his chances.

Hugh Bowman rides and he has a good record in the Highway.

Race 3. (14:25) Tab Highway Handicap (1200m)

#5 – Congregate @ $8 – Bet Now

Congregate is a leading chance in the second of the Highway Handicap races this Saturday.

The four-year-old ran third at Scone last start and that came following back-to-back wins. He was well-backed in both and that could be the recipe for success again here.

Rachel King is an interesting rider choice but she likes to roll forward and could take some catching.

Race 4. (15:00) John Turk Online BM72 (1300m)

#5 – Suave @ $4.40 – Bet Now

Suave has looked pretty smooth to date, winning both race day starts.

Trained by James Cummings, the four-year-old son of Lonhro scored by 1.8 lengths at Wyong last start where he hit the line with real authority.

He won’t be a superstar, but he has made a good impact in his short career and he could rise through the grades nicely.

Race 5. (15:40) Ranvet BM78 (1100m)

#11 – Feel The Knight @ $7.50 – Bet Now

Feel The Knight is facing some nice types here but the four-year-old could handle the rise in class.

He comes into this having won at Canberra last start by a half-length, which came after a solid win at Randwick.

Gets the inside draw and only 53.5kg on his back. Expect Tim Clark to roll forward and give this good field something to chase.

Race 6. (16:20) ATC Cup (2000m)

#1 – Grey Lion @ $14 – Bet Now

We are giving Grey Lion one more chance based on what he has shown in the past.

The imported son of Galileo isn’t getting any younger as an eight-year-old, but he has been running against much stronger fields than this.

We’re expecting that form to stack up nicely in a field like this and punters might be able to get value odds come race day.

Race 7. (17:00) Iron Jack Festival Stakes (1500m)

#12 – Don’t Give A Damn @ $6.50 – Bet Now

Danny Williams has always had a big opinion of this runner and he got his confidence back last start.

The six-year-old made it eight wins from 20 starts and after going winless for awhile, he was too good for them at Gundagai.

This is a rise in class but carrying 53kg is ideal and he has always promised to win a highly-regarded race.

$6.50 is worth taking.

Race 8. (17:40) Drinkwise Starlight Stakes (1100m)

#1 – Bon Amis @ $4.80 – Bet Now

$4.80 is a good price for a runner coming off a third placing in The Gong last week.

Bon Amis is a classy runner for Jason Dreamer, which has won eight of his 20 starts and that also includes seven placings.

This race is there for the taking and Bon Amis certainly ranks as one of the horses to beat, despite carrying a big weight of 59kg.

Race 9. (18:15) Mick Crook Memorial BM78 (1500m)

#12 – Convinced @ $5.50 – Bet Now

We’re convinced that Convinced could make a winning run here at each-way odds.

The Snowden-trained three-year-old finished fourth at Newcastle last start, which followed a win at Hawkesbury as the odds-on favourite.

Punters are getting better odds this time around and with only 53kg on his back, he should be right around the mark once again.
