Rosehill horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:40) The Agency Real Estate BM78 (1200m)
#2 – Katalin @ $2.45 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Money has come for Katalin, who is unbeaten in two fresh up starts. She has faced tough opposition throughout her career, and she gets conditions to suit.
The James Cummings-trained daughter of Medaglia D’oro looks well-placed and we’re confident of a big run on Saturday.
Race 2. (13:20) Fujitsu General BM78 (1900m)
#2 – Mightybeel @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Chris Waller-trained runner has been mightily impressive at midweek level, and he deserves a chance in a race like this.
He scored by just under a length last time out at Randwick, and he won his only start at Rosehill, so he likes the track.
Hugh Bowman rides, which adds to our confidence.
Race 3. (14:00) Tab Highway Handicap C3 (1200m)
#4 – Ceasefire @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ceasefire didn’t fire at Randwick last start, but that came in a tough race where nothing went his way.
The Paul Messara-trained gelding looked much better prior to that when winning three of its first four starts, so we’re confident of a bounce back effort.
Punters get each-way odds to enjoy.
Race 4. (14:40) The Four Pillars BM68 (1500m)
#4 – Different Strokes @ $4.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Different Strokes has looked impressive in winning three of his last four starts, including a 2.3-length win at Randwick last start.
Kim Waugh lines up the four-year-old gelding, who has yet to race at Rosehill, but it’s not a track he should have problems handling.
It’s another good ride for Bowman, so take the $4.20 before it firms.
Race 5. (15:25) Rosehill Gold Cup (2000m)
#2 – Think It Over @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Think It Over has been stellar this season, and the son of So You Think demands attention in this race.
The Kerry Parker-trained gelding owns nine wins from 29 starts, and three of those wins have come against top fields this campaign.
Getting past Gold Trip won’t be easy, but he’s the one they have to beat.
Race 8. (17:25) Ned Whisky BM78 (1100m)
#6 – Delexo @ $3.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The four-year-old son of Exosphere hasn’t done much wrong throughout his career, including a tidy win at Randwick last start.
He controlled the pace beautifully up front before kicking away for a 2.5-length victory. He will try run them into the ground again, and this race is there for the taking.
We’re not surprised by the money coming his way.
Race 9. (18:10) Schweppes BM78 (1500m)
#5 – Ma and Pa @ $3.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Winning form is with Ma and Pa, who has delivered punters with three consecutive wins this preparation.
The Waller-trained four-year-old continued his streak with a 1.5-length victory at Warwick Farm, and despite rising in class, he looks like a nice type in the making.
Getting the inside draw is ideal, so watch for any late betting moves.
Race 10. (18:45) Tab One Day Campaign BM78 (1300m)
#5 – April Rain @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
April Rain will have to drop back from the wide barrier, but we were impressed with her turn-of-foot last start.
She didn’t have all favours in the run when finishing second behind Quantico, which has since won again.
Punters get each-way odds, and they’re worth taking.
