We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday at Sale, which features a full 10-race betting card.
As per usual on a midweek meeting in Victoria, big fields are the order of the day and Sale hasn’t disappointed.

Race 1. (11:25) Laurels Function Centre Maiden (1205m)
#8 – Orchids – Bet Now
We don’t have much information for this debutante but she’s likely to make a good debut.
She’s a daughter of Savabeel which is bred nicely and she has seemingly performed well in jump outs to prepare for this.
Betting will tell the full story but we’re expecting plenty of money to be placed on her.
Race 2. (11:55) Sale Ladies Day Maiden (1205m)
#10 – Feeling Good – Bet Now
Has race experience which helps and with two placings from two starts, she looks a nice chance.
The four-year-old mare made a long-awaited debut in June when she made good ground from the back to run third. She then did similar second-up when running second and that’s a good sign here.
Drawn wide so expect her to settle back and come with one big run at them late.
Race 3. (12:25) Ladbrokes Maiden Plate (1205m)
#8 – Celestial Shower – Bet Now
Consistent is with Celestial Shower which has finished in the money in four of her six career starts.
The three-year-old filly is knocking on the door of a maiden win after back-to-back placings at Pakenham.
Gets the inside draw and a nice weight of 56.5kg on her back.
Race 4. (13:00) Carlton Draught Maiden (1411m)
#11 – Oneira – Bet Now
Oneira should have won a race by now after nine career attempts and we’ll stick with her until she does.
The three-year-old filly has placed in six from nine starts, including a third placing at Bendigo last time out. That experience should help her get closer to a win and there’s some favourable factors for this run.
Gets the inside draw and some weight off her back.
Race 5. (13:35) Sale Cup Day Maiden (1611m)
#6 – Tears To Glory – Bet Now
The Patrick Payne stable is firing at the moment and we’re happy to go with Tears To Glory for this run.
He’s a three-year-old gelding by He’s Remarkable which did well to run third at Mildura last time out and although he’s dropping back in distance, that could suit him.
It won’t take him long to break maiden grades and it could come here.
Race 6. (14:10) Xmas Bookings Available BM64 (1005m)
#4 – Credible Witness – Bet Now
Scott Cameron lines up the five-year-old gelding which has rattled off three consecutive second placings in a row.
The four-time winner isn’t far off recording another win and although it has been a long time between drinks, he has the class edge over this field.
Looks well-placed here and he should land in a good position from barrier three.
Race 7. (14:45) Sale Memberships BM64 (1411m)
#10 – Remuera – Bet Now
Chris Waller lines up the three-year-old filly which didn’t fire last start but she looks ready to fire now.
The daughter of Reliable Man is a one-race winner and the former New Zealand runner looks well-placed to win another.
Fellow Kiwi Michael Walker rides here and punters should be getting each-way odds.
Race 8. (15:20) Vale A Manning BM64 (1411m)
#10 – Voodoo Queen – Bet Now
Voodoo Queen is a three-year-old mare which isn’t the most consistent type running around but she does have some speed.
The daughter of Host has been prepped with a trial at Pakenham last time out and she showed her class when breaking maidens at Cranbourne.
Gets in well at the weights and she could go well at odds.
Race 9. (15:55) Donalda Motors BM70 (1728m)
#4 – Moscow Red – Bet Now
Henry Dwyer lines up the five-year-old mare which scored an overdue win at Cranbourne last start and could kick on with it now.
That 1.3-length win came on a rain-affected track and with similar conditions likely here, that should help her out.
Punters will likely get each-way odds.
Race 10. (16:30) Gippsland Funeral Services BM64 (1205m)
#11 – Nina Rules – Bet Now
Experienced customer which has won five and placed in 13 from a total of 48 career starts.
The six-year-old mare comes into this with a third placing at Moe and that bodes well for future runs this season.
Punters should be getting double-figure odds for Nina Rules and she’s good enough to cause an upset.
