Race 1. (12:25) Graham Chalmer Real Estate Maiden (1416m)
#9 – We Know So – Bet Now
We Know So performed well on debut when losing by a nose at Pakenham. That run was made better by the fact that she got so far back during the run.
The three-year-old by Ekraar came from eighth around the turn to finish only a nose behind Oceanity and that form should line up nicely.
Gets the inside draw and every chance to win this.
Race 2. (13:00) Gippsland Times Maiden (1010m)
#11 – Static – Bet Now
It always pays to pay attention when James Cummings and Craig Williams team up. That happens with Static, which was given a soft trial to prepare for this.
On face value, the seventh at Werribee wasn’t a great effort but she wasn’t asked for much and there’s some positives in her favour here.
Drawing barrier four and carrying only 54kg is going to make her tough to beat.
Race 3. (13:35) First National Real Estate Maiden (1210m)
#8 – Be Amazing – Bet Now
The Busuttin/Young combinations lines up Be Amazing, which improved nicely to run second at Cranbourne last start.
She faced only three rivals, but she should derive plenty of benefit from the run and we’re expecting another improved run here.
Bookmakers should be offering each-way odds in a competitive field.
Race 4. (14:10) Gippsland Times C1 Handicap (1210m)
#1 – Confluence – Bet Now
Confluence might not have the best recent form but he typically runs well in a fresh state.
The four-year-old gelding has been in the money in seven of his 10 starts to date and he has placed twice from three fresh up starts.
Drawing barrier 13 isn’t easy but he could return to form here.
Race 5. (14:45) John Elliman Real Estate BM64 (2231m)
#11 – Marie Adelaide – Bet Now
Marie Adelaide needs to rebound after three average runs this campaign but she showed enough last preparation to warrant attention.
The Kent-trained five-year-old scored a maiden win at Sale by 2.5 lengths and promised to kick on with it, but she hasn’t yet.
We’re prepared to give her another chance and the booking of Craig Williams is a positive.
Race 6. (15:20) Gippsland Real Estate BM70 (1416m)
#7 – Triage – Bet Now
David Brideoake lines up the five-year-old which ran fourth last start but was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner.
The five-year-old is a winner of three from 16 starts and with the inside draw, he looks tough to hold out here at each way odds.
He needs to show something second up, which he hasn’t in the past but he could improve here.
Race 7. (15:55) Wellington Real Estate BM64 (1110m)
#11 – Sunrise Dancer – Bet Now
Phillip Stokes lines up the last-start winner which could go back-to-back here.
The three-year-old filly by Dawn Approach scored by just under a length at Pakenham and that capped off some consistent form.
She will need a touch of luck from barrier nine but she should be paying nice odds for this and she’s worth the risk.
Race 8. (16:30) Gippsland Times BM64 (1616m)
#4 – Roar – Bet Now
Roar could give punters something to cheer about here and he’s in good recent form.
The four-year-old was a winner two back at Sale by a narrow margin before running third at the same track last start.
He was just over a length behind the winner last start and a repeat performance could be seeing him fighting out the finish.
