Racey Casey is steadily building towards a win after posting back-to-back placings, including a second placing at Sale last start.
The four-year-old mare by Toronado is in good hands with Jamie Edwards, and she doesn’t need to improve too much to handle this field.
She will grind away and be right there in the finish.

Mercurial Lady has made a positive start to her career with a win and four placings from six starts, so we’re backing her on Sunday.
The four-year-old daughter of So You Think ran second at Caulfield two back, so having form in the city makes her tough to beat.
Punters should expect money to come for her.

Captain Hilfiger is enjoying recent success after scoring at Sale two back before placing at Sandown last time out.
Having recent winning form at the track is tough to overlook, and he’s a two-time winner here, so that’s in his favour.
Barrier 14 isn’t a worry over the staying distance, so he can’t be left out of Sale racing picks.

Looking to remain unbeaten is Electric Star, who scored a tough win at Sale in May before spelling.
The four-year-old mare by Zoustar is in good hands with Clinton McDonald and having a strong rider in Ben Melham riding is a bonus.
It’s not an easy race, but he could have a bright future.
Stake: 1 Unit
Cartoon Graveyard has improved nicely this season, culminating with an easy win at Murray Bridge.
The Will Clarken-trained gelding is a seven-time winner overall, and although South Australian form doesn’t always stack up in Victoria, he looks quick enough to win.
Getting in with 54.5kg is enough to take him close in the Sale Cup.
Stake: 1.5 Units
Class is with Hiyaam Proud, who should appreciate running in this company after running at Randwick and Sandown last campaign.
The Matt Laurie-trained gelding can be frustrating to follow at the best of times, but he runs well fresh, and he could pay off loyal punters.
We’re happy to include him in picks, so watch for a betting move.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Helix wasn’t too far away fresh up at The Valley, and the easier company should help his chances.
The six-year-old son of Flying Artie ended last campaign with consecutive placings at Caulfield and Pakenham, so if he’s anywhere near that form, he should run well.
