Sandown horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (16:15) Ladbrokes Maiden Plate (1400m)
#6 – Bella Amore @ $2.80 – Bet Now
Bella Amore is overdue a maiden win after running third at Sandown last start and she could improve enough to win.
The three-year-old filly by Snitzel hasn’t been too far away throughout her career and she meets a relatively even field here.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and she has attracted plenty of attention in the betting, which is a good sign.
Race 2. (16:50) Ladbrokes Back Yourself Maiden (1500m)
#7 – Right You Are @ $2.50 – Bet Now
The three-year-old gelding has had two starts for two placings and could break through for the maiden win here.
Trained by the Price/Kent duo, the well-bred son of So You Think finished only a nose behind the winner at Pakenham last start and there’s little wrong with that form.
Drawing barrier five should see him settle closer to the pace and punters are getting fair odds from bookmakers.
Race 3. (17:25) Clanbrooke Racing BM64 (1500m)
#9 – Raspberry Beret @ $8.50 – Bet Now
Greg Eurell lines up the five-year-old mare which has two wins from 16 starts. That’s not the best record, but she exceeded expectations last start.
The daughter of Bernadini finished third at Moonee Valley as a $31 chance and that came against a stronger field than this.
She typically runs better with a few runs under her belt and that bodes well for another tidy effort here.
Race 4. (18:00) Ladbrokes Odds Boost BM64 (1300m)
#9 – La Lucciola @ $4.80 – Bet Now
That was an impressive win from La Lucciola last start and we’re confident that she can continue with that form.
The three-year-old filly by Snitzel scored by a length at Sandown and that followed up some handy form at Flemington.
She finished third on debut at Flemington before running a close fourth on the same track. It’s good form for a race like this and we’re not surprised to see her as the favourite.
Punters are getting juicy odds in an even race.
Race 5. (18:30) Le Pine Funerals BM64 (1300m)
#10 – Scorpius @ $2.25 – Bet Now
Scorpius looked the goods on debut when scoring at Moe and his efforts since have been good enough to win this.
The three-year-old colt by Deep Field finished seventh at Caulfield behind King of Hastings. That’s a top run against a field which would put lengths on this field.
He then ran second behind Neighbourhood last start, which has subsequently gone on to win again.
Tricky draw here but he deserves to be favourite.
Race 6. (19:00) The Big Screen Company BM64 (2400m)
#3 – Schwitzer @ $4.40 – Bet Now
Schwitzer is a two-win gelding which was slightly too good for them at Cranbourne last time out.
The son of Danerich carried 60.5kg to victory and dropping down in weight is only going to help his chances this time around.
He capped off some consistent form with a win and he could kick on with it now.
Drawing barrier four should see him settle in a good position and go close.
Race 7. (19:30) MRC 6 Month Membership BM64 (1800m)
#11 – Pieropan @ $8 – Bet Now
Henry Dwyer lines up the four-year-old which is knocking on the door after consecutive second placings.
The son of Pierro hasn’t won for awhile now but he finished only a half-length behind the winner at Pakenham two back and he ran second again last start.
He might be only a one-win runner but punters are getting odds worth taking.
