Sandown horse racing tips & form
—
Race 1. (15:40) Ive Print Maiden (1500m)
#14 – Tempest Charm @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Tempest Charm has placed in three consecutive races this preparation and she deserves a breakthrough win.
The three-year-old daughter of Trust in a Gust owns four placings from eight starts, so she has been right around the mark throughout her career.
Jamie Kah rides and punters get a fair price.
Race 2. (16:15) Ladbroke It Maiden (1300m)
#11 – Savonia @ $3.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Savonia hasn’t done much wrong in two race day starts, including a third placing at Sandown last time out.
The three-year-old filly finished under a length from the winner and it shouldn’t take her long to break her maiden status.
Barrier 11 makes it tough, but she has a nice turn-of-foot at her disposal.
Race 3. (16:50) Ladbrokes Bet Ticker BM64 (1600m)
#1 – Invincible Crown @ $7 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Invincible Crown comes off back-to-back wins at Moonee Valley and that’s excellent form for this contest.
The son of Cable Bay held off a tough field last time out and we’re surprised punters get $7 for this contest.
It’s not an easy field, but we’ll take the value odds.
Race 4. (17:25) Ladbrokes Switch C1 Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Rising @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Rising is a three-year-old colt who won by 5.3 lengths on debut at Stawell, which was an impressive effort.
The son of I Am Invincible never gave the opposition a look-in and he could have a big future based on that effort.
Punters get value odds, but we expect money to come late.
Race 5. (18:00) Ladbrokes Easy Form BM64 (2400m)
#3 – Tigertiger @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Tigertiger scored an impressive five-length win at Sandown last start and he’s good enough to remain in form.
The six-year-old son of Zed is unbeaten on the track and with two wins from three starts over the distance, he’s a natural staying type.
Dropping in weight with the 3kg claim is ideal.
Race 6. (18:30) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi BM64 (1800m)
#1 – Tycoon Bec @ $5 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Tycoon Bec looked good scoring three consecutive wins to start her career and she could get back to her best.
The Matthew Cumani-trained five-year-old didn’t show her best at Pakenham last time out, but she should enjoy the drop in class.
3kg comes off her back to help with the weight.
Race 7. (19:00) Ladbrokes Blended Bets BM64 (1500m)
#10 – Our Modena @ $13 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Our Modena wasn’t too far away last time out at Pakenham and we’re happy with the odds available.
The daughter of Tavistock is a two-time winner from 12 starts, so she has been a good bet for punters who enjoy excellent value.
The $13 is well worth taking and we like her chances with the drop in weight.
Race 8. (19:30) Tile Importer BM64 (1300m)
#15 – Ocean’s Jen @ $6 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Ocean’s Jen showed her ability when breaking her maiden status at Sandown fresh up last campaign.
The four-year-old mare followed it up with a second placing at Lakeside, so there is nothing wrong with her form.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and we’re surprised at the odds. We thought she would be paying around $4, so take the value.
