Sandown horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (12:25) Ladbroke It Handicap (1300m)

#5 – Attrition @ $4.20 – Bet @ PlayUp

Attrition ran well enough for third on debut at Murray Bridge and it should be a good form guide for Sandown.

The two-year-old colt by Churchill is bred to be better than average and it’s good to see his odds firm from an opening quote of $5.50.

We expect more money to come on race day.

Race 2. (13:00) Ladbrokes Money Back Odds BM70 (2400m)

#3 – Chatelaine @ $3.70 – Bet @ PlayUp

Chatelaine does her best racing on wet tracks with three wins from 13 starts, so we’re in her camp on Wednesday.

The six-year-old daughter of Tavistock comes off a solid fourth at Sandown and getting an inside draw should give her a premium run.

It’s not an easy field but she will give punters a good sight.

Race 3. (13:35) Ladbrokes Blended Bets BM70 (1400m)

#5 – Ravaged Award @ $3.90 – Bet @ PlayUp

Ravaged Award wasn’t far off an impressive type last time out and she should be in the mix again.

The three-year-old ran second behind Pacific Ruby and she’s getting close to scoring her second career win.

Having Jamie Kah in the saddle helps and punters get value odds.

Race 4. (14:10) Ladbrokes Live Betting BM78 (1000m)

#1 – Zipping Boy @ $2.15 – Bet @ PlayUp

Zipping Boy comes off a second placing at Caulfield and form in the city bodes well for midweek racing.

The four-year-old gelding is unbeaten in two starts at Sandown and the six-time winner overall has the class edge over this field.

Getting a 3kg claimer in the saddle helps and punters should be confident with the favourite.

Race 5. (14:45) MRC Membership Renewal BM70 (1600m)

#1 – Kiss Me If You Can @ $4.20 – Bet @ PlayUp

The five-year-old gelding has been in excellent form with three consecutive wins before running second at Sandown last start.

He was only a short margin behind the winner on a heavy surface last start and it’s good to see him handle the wet tracks.

Each-way odds are available and consistency is worth backing here.

Race 6. (15:20) Ladbrokes Mates Mode BM70 (1400m)

#2 – Danaustar @ $4.20 – Bet @ PlayUp

The Maher/Eustace-trained gelding has looked good winning his last two starts and there’s no reason to jump off his back.

He scored at Swan Hill before winning easily at Sandown by 3.8 lengths, so that form stacks up wonderfully for this contest.

Punters get each-way odds and we expect the odds to shorten on race day.

Race 7. (15:55) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi BM70 (1400m)

#4 – Free to Move @ $7.50 – Bet @ PlayUp

Free to Move is getting close to showing his best form following two solid efforts at Sandown.

The four-year-old finished third at Sandown two back behind Skywolf before running a length behind the winner last time out.

2kg comes off his back and punters get odds worth snapping up.

Race 8. (16:30) Tile Importer BM70 (1800m)

#2 – Milford Sound @ $17 – Bet @ PlayUp

There is good value with Milford Sound, who comes off a win at Wingatui in New Zealand.

The Kiwi is used to the wet conditions and the son of Ocean Park won by 2.3 lengths last start, so the form checks out.

He’s in good hands and the distance should be up his alley.
