We have expert betting tips for the card this Wednesday at Sandown that features eight quality betting races.
There are some good form types running at Sandown and punters are getting each-way odds throughout the day.
Sandown horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:25) Good Health Mrs King Plate (1200m)
#5 – Zacouver @ $5 – Bet Now
Zacouver finished fourth last time out at Geelong but she was only a half-length behind the winner.
The two-year-old by Vancouver settled just behind the speed and although she got tired late, it was a good overall effort.
Craig Williams rides this time around and that should fill punters with confidence.
Race 2. (13:00) Ladbrokes Odds Boost Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Black Penn @ $10 – Bet Now
Black Penn is on debut for the Greg Eurell stable and he could make a winning debut. The son of Written Tycoon is bred to be fast and that could eventuate on Wednesday.
Betting will be a good indication of his talent and having Damien Oliver is already a good betting guide.
Race 3. (13:35) Ladbrokes BM64 (1300m)
#13 – Refreshed @ $8.50 – Bet Now
Refreshed was a winner on debut at Wodonga before running third at Swan Hill and then fourth at Bendigo.
The Price/Kent-trained filly has shown a good turn-of-foot in all three starts and it is another good ride for Damien Oliver.
It isn’t an easy field but look for Refreshed to run well at odds.
Race 4. (14:10) MRC Members BM70 (1300m)
#10 – Kamien @ $4.20 – Bet Now
Coming off a solid run at Moe is Kamien. The four-year-old gelding was only a half-length behind the winner and he will build on that effort.
He is a past winner second-up and considering he raced at Flemington just two starts back, racing midweek won’t worry him.
A good price with bookmakers is expected.
Race 5. (14:45) Ladbrokes Back Yourself BM78 (2400m)
#2 – Fanciful Toff @ $5.50 – Bet Now
The Maher/Eustace teams lines up the quality type that is overdue a winning turn. He owns five wins and eight placings from 21 starts, so the ability is there.
He has placed in both runs at Sandown and drawing barrier five should see him settle right around the mark.
The 2400m won’t worry him and it is his 11th start over the distance.
Race 6. (15:20) Ladbrokes Switch BM84 (1200m)
#2 – Ruban Bleu @ $3.50 – Bet Now
Ruban Bleu is a Saturday-class runner and he could strike against this even field. The Lindsay Park-trained four-year-old is a four-time winner and is coming off a placing at Caulfield.
He scored a win at Caulfield just two starts back when making big ground from the back of the field. It was a quality outing and one that could be repeated on Wednesday.
Race 7. (15:55) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi BM70 (1200m)
#3 – Zoubo @ $2.90 – Bet Now
Zoubo hasn’t been at her best this season but dropping right back in class could turn the switch.
The Danny O’Brien-trained mare finished fifth at Caulfield last start and that came in benchmark 84 grade. Dropping to bm70 here is ideal and she should improve.
Damien Oliver rides and the odds are fair.
Race 8. (16:30) Ladbrokes Cash In BM70 (1600m)
#6 – Hapaira @ $6 – Bet Now
Hapaira owns four wins from nine starts, including back-to-back wins at Echuca and Sandown. She has city-class talent and punters are getting great odds.
She owns experience with a placing on this track and drawing barrier three should see her land right on the speed.
The odds are generous and she has a bright future.
