Dropping to 51kg makes her awfully tough to stop.

Sir Atlas is a proven fresh up winner with two wins from four starts, and he could make a winning run at Sandown.

The six-year-old son of Sir Percy doesn’t mind the sting out of the track and getting 2kg off his back helps with the big weight.

Punters get better odds than expected, so he’s worth including in picks.

Race 5. (14:10) Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives BM74 (1600m)

#2 – Extreme Virtue @ $5.50

Form is with Extreme Virtue, who comes off placings at Caulfield, and she looked much better than average last preparation.

The daughter of Extreme Choice owns four wins and four placings from nine starts overall, and getting 3kg off her back is a luxury.

She only needs luck from the wide draw to finish best.

#5 – Roadcone @ $2.45

Roadcone is starting to put it all together after being an unlucky runner to start his career, and he’s worth sticking with.

The four-year-old won at Pakenham before putting away a good field at Sandown, and having winning form at the track helps his chances.

He looks perfectly placed to make another winning run.

#8 – Saban @ $4.80

Gunning for consecutive wins is Saban, who won by a half-length at Sandown last time out as a $4.40 second favourite.

The four-year-old son of Shamus Award pays similar odds on Saturday, and although there is more depth to this field, he has upside.

Getting in with 51kg on his back makes him tough to stop.

Race 8. (16:05) Thoroughbred Club of Australia BM84 (1000m)

#6 – Harry Got Styles @ $8.00

Harry Got Styles turned his form around when winning at Sandown last start, so he’s worth sticking with at the odds.

The son of Harry Angel is bred to win a few more races, and he showed a good turn-of-foot to win, which many runners don’t possess.

Barrier five is ideal, so he’s a value bet.

Race 9. (16:35) Race Replays Handicap (1400m)

#12 – Hughes @ $4.80

Each-way value is with Hughes, who keeps putting in a good run this campaign, including three wins and two placings.

The five-year-old son of Russian Revolution has yet to finish worse than second at Sandown, and his record over the distance is exceptional.

He’s another runner dropping to the light weight, so respect his chances.
