Both venues host terrific racing action this Saturday and it’s always more exciting when champion mare Winx is taking to the track.
We have done the form at both meetings to find our best value tips with form and odds.
Randwick free tips & form
Race 2. (12:50) Schweppes Heritage Stakes (1100m)
#3 – Neutrality @ $2.30 – BET NOW
The three-year-old colt lost no admirers when running second behind the then unbeaten Graff in the San Domenico Stakes last start and this is an easier target.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, the son of Sebring looked good at the trials prior to that run and despite being only a one-win colt, he looks to have good potential.
Barrier speed is his asset and he should use that to his advantage here.
Race 4. (14:00) The Shorts (1100m)
#1 – Redzel @ $1.80 – BET NOW
Redzel showed his class when winning the Concorde Stakes last start and he has now firmed into favouritism to retain his Everest crown later this season.
Another top runner for Team Snowden, the six-year-old is a bomb-proof type which has won 13 from 26 starts and has missed a placing in only one of 11 attempts at this track.
He has the ability to sit on the speed and give an almighty kick, which should prove tough to handle for the opposition here.
$1.80 is short but worth taking.
Race 5. (14:35) Bill Ritchie Handicap (1400m)
#2 – Pierata @ $3 – BET NOW
The class runner of the field, Pierata looks tough to beat despite drawing barrier 12. The four-year-old Magic Millions winner had a tremendous season last time in work and returned by winning at Randwick this time in.
Magic Millions form rarely stacks up at this level but he has the x-factor and his recent 2.3-length trial win was an ideal preparation for this.
He owns plenty of talent and the $3 is a good price.
Race 6. (15:10) Colgate Optic White Stakes (1600m)

Race 7. (15:50) Tea Rose Stakes (1400m)
#2 – Oohood @ $7 – BET NOW
Oohood is running out of chances to score a win at this level but we’ll allow her one more shot against this quality field.
The Tony McEvoy-trained filly hasn’t escaped the top grades since kicking off her career eight starts ago and despite having not won yet, she has amassed over $1 million in career earnings.
She wasn’t far behind Pure Elation last start and the form out of that race should stack up nicely here. Stick with the talented three-year-old as she will score soon.
Race 8. (16:30) Kington Town Stakes (2000m)
#5 – Avilius @ $2.40 – BET NOW
James Cummings has a nice import on his hands with Avilius, which has won two-from-two in Australia since arriving earlier this year.
The son of Pivotal is a potential Cups horse but would need to improve on his last start win at Rosehill. That being said, he isn’t facing a top-quality field here and he gets in well on the weights at 56kg.
He should have too much class over the 2000m whereas many of these will be searching for 2400-3000m.
Flemington free tips and form
Race 2. (13:05) Cap D’Antibes Stakes (1100m)
#7 – Smart Melody @ $3 – BET NOW
Smart Melody has drifted in the betting from $2.45 to $3 but we believe that’s the market adjusting and nothing more.
The Kris Lees-trained filly has rattled off three impressive victories to kick start her career and she should get things to suit this Saturday. Drawing wide down the Flemington straight isn’t the worst place to be and it’s hard not to be impressed with her form.
Her first two wins came by over five lengths and she took a needle-eye gap to score nicely last start. $3 is fair and there’s value with those odds.
Race 4. (14:15) Antler Luggage Plate (1400m)
#3 – Brutal @ $2.40 – BET NOW
Punters weren’t overly impressed with the win from Brutal last time out but the colt still did the job and strips fitter for this.
Drawing the inside barrier should ensure the son of O’Reilly gets a good run and there is plenty of hype surrounding this runner.
Having the entire Flemington straight to find his groove will help, as opposed to Moonee Valley and punters could see the complete package this time around.
Race 7. (16:10) Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m)

Race 8. (16:50) Danehill Stakes (1200m)
#3 – Native Soldier @ $3.20 – BET NOW
That was a strong win from Native Soldier at Caulfield last time out when scoring by 2.8 lengths in an upset result.
The three-year-old colt by Sepoy is a three-time winner which is having his first start at Flemington but the big track looks ideal for him and Darren Weir will have him ready to fire.
The price on offer from bookmakers is fair at $3.20 and it could start shorter come race day.
