Randwick free tips & form

Race 1. (12:25) Gimcrack Stakes (1000m)

#9 – Mayaaseh @ $3.60 – BET NOW

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained debutante was an impressive trial winner at Randwick in preparation for this and punters are confident with the filly.

By Exceed And Excel, the two-year-old is bred to be quick early on in her career and despite drawing wide in barrier 12, she could have the class to take this field.

$3.60 is a fair price.

Race 2. (13:05) Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate (1000m)

#6 – Exceed The Stars @ $2.90 – BET NOW

The Star Witness progeny is always tough to beat this time of the year and another potential good horse could be unearthed here.

Mark Newnham lines up the multiple trials winner which has won both trials at Randwick by a combined margin of 2.2 lengths. Those have been solid results and he looks to have plenty of ability.

Race 4. (14:15) Australia Hill Stakes (2000m)

#10 – Egg Tart @ $2.35 – BET NOW

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Egg Tart, which looked like one of the rising stars of the turf as a three-year-old, but hasn’t quite filled out.

The five-year-old mare gets into this race well on the weights and finished 4.1 lengths behind Winx last start should be considered as a good result.

She needs to earn the trust of punters but that could be earned this Saturday.

Race 5. (14:50) Premiere Stakes (1200m)

#1 – Redzel @ $2.60 – BET NOW

Redzel is a bulletproof sprinter which faces a tough field here, but has the class edge and he should have all favours in the run.

Drawing the inside barrier, that should allow jockey Kerrin McEvoy to dictate the pace in front and he should be able to get a break on second favourite Trapeze Artist at the top of the straight.

This could be vital in the winning of the race and his odds have already firmed in from $2.90 to $2.60. Expect more movement to come this week.

Race 9. (17:25) Snitzel BM88 (1200m)

#15 – Problem Solver @ $5.50 – BET NOW

Early money has come for Problem Solver, which has won only one from eight starts but has placed another six times.

The Gerald Ryan-trained runner finished second behind Houtzen last campaign and although most of her form has come against only fair fields, that open class result will hold her in good stead for this.

Light weight at 54.5kg and she should be considered.

Race 2. (12:45) Big Mac’s Last Hoorah BM70 (1000m)

#3 – Vainstream @ $2.35 – BET NOW

John Pascoe lines up the talented four-year-old which has won three of his six starts with two placings. The son of Bel Esprit is coming off two defeats at Caulfield, but finds an easier field this time around.

That came following a win at Pakenham and although Pakenham form doesn’t typically stack up well on a Saturday, he has found a race which lacks any real depth.

He has more upside than most here.

Race 3. (13:20) Held For Ransom BM70 (1500m)

#1 – I Am Queen @ $2.75 – BET NOW

The former Kiwi runner made a big impression when scoring at Cranbourne by a half-length last start and although she’s facing a harder field here at a bigger weight, she has positives.

A daughter of Animal Kingdom, the four-year-old capped off some consistent form, which included a strong placing at Sandown and that came following some good form across the Tasman.

She has more talent than most in this field, but she will need the luck.

Race 7. (15:45) R.M. Ansett Classic (2400m)

#5 – Harrison @ $5 – BET NOW

The former import finished fifth at Moonee Valley last start in what should be a good form guide for this.

Liam Howley lines up the five-year-old which was a clever winner last campaign at Bendigo and although he hasn’t won in two starts back, he was always going to need the time to improve.

$5 is a good price from bookmakers and carrying 54kg will make him tough to beat.

Race 8. (16:25) Highview Accounting Mornington (1500m)

#13 – Real Success @ $6 – BET NOW

Matt Laurie lines up the three-year-old gelding which could again offer punters with some value in the last.

The son of Reset scored a half-length win at Geelong last start at odds of $8 and his form prior included some close-up efforts behind the likes of Fighting Harada and Good ‘N’ Fast. That’s strong form and the price is right here.
