The two-year-old filly by The Autumn Sun is bred to be handy, and she has Kiwi breeding, so she should handle the wet track conditions.

Include her in picks at the odds.

#1 – Blue Shield @ $4.20

#4 – Deal Done Fast @ $1.85

Class is with Deal Done Fast, who ran in the Australian Derby earlier this preparation, so he should deal to this field.

His form hasn’t been ideal recently, but he showed his class during his first preparation, and he won’t be worried by the conditions.

#11 – Proven Soul @ $10.00

Punters get value odds for Proven Soul, who finished only sixth last start at Ballarat, but she will derive plenty of benefit from that outing.

The Scott Cameron-trained mare showed good speed when winning at Bendigo last preparation, and something close to that should take her close.

Look for her to settle back and finish off strongly.
