Sha Tin Racing Tips for Sunday, April 19th 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday, which includes 11 races at the quality weekend meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (15:45) Racing for Charity Handicap (1800m)

#10 – Meepmeep

Meepmeep is getting close to another win after running second at his last two starts, and this isn’t an overly strong field.

The six-year-old son of Not a Single Doubt is only a one-time winner from 30 starts, but he’s never too far away from the prize.

Include him in picks with Hugh Bowman riding.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (16:15) Supporting Sports All Around Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Noble Deluxe

Noble Deluxe showed good speed when running third last time out, and he should run well on Sunday.

The four-year-old won earlier this preparation at Sha Tin when scoring by 1.8 lengths, which is a tidy form guide.

Barrier two with Karis Teetan riding helps.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (16:45) Promoting Health for All Handicap (1000m)

#11 – Zouper Fellow

Gunning for back-to-back wins is Zouper Fellow, who scored by a length at big odds.

The four-year-old son of Zousain won paying $23, but punters are unlikely to get those odds again, and he could win again.

It could pay to stick with him in an open contest.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (17:15) Embracing Success in its Many Ways Handicap (1400m)

#10 – Decision Link

Decision Link was too good for them at Happy Valley last start, and that form could translate well at Sha Tin.

The four-year-old son of Hellbent will need to improve to handle this field, but he has plenty of upside now that he has broken through.

Joao Moreira rides, which adds to our confidence.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (18:05) The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Trophy (1600m)

#11 – Absolute Honour

Zac Purton rides Absolute Honour, who hasn’t been too far off posting a win this season.

He ran second at Sha Tin three back before running fourth last time out, and he was only a half-length behind the winner.

Barrier one could be enough to see him land the prize.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 6. (18:40) Enriching Lives Through Arts and Culture Handicap (1650m)

#4 – California Star

California Star is a strong chance of getting back to winning form, having scored three starts ago at Sha Tin.

The five-year-old son of Starspangledbanner owns two wins and three placings at the track, and it’s another good ride for Purton, who could have a big day.

Look for each-way odds from bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (19:10) Enabling a Sustainable Future Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Armour War Eagle

Punters should get each-way odds for Armour War Eagle, who is better than his recent form suggests.

His last two starts didn’t inspire, but that followed three consecutive placings, and punters often get good odds.

From the inside barrier, he can’t be overlooked.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 8. (19:40) Lifting Every Young Life Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Aurora Patch

Boasting four wins and six placings from 19 starts is Aurora Patch, who should go close on Sunday.

The five-year-old son of Showtime ran close to the winner when second last start, and he could go one better.

Barrier four with Bowman riding adds to his appeal.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 9. (20:10) Helping Older Adults Age Well Handicap (1400m)

#4 – Aerovolanic

Seeking three consecutive wins is Aerovolanic, who won both races by two lengths.

He has come of age nicely this preparation, and with Purton riding, he should attract plenty of attention on race day.

He only needs luck from the draw to go close.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 10. (20:45) Enabling Professionals to Flourish Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Super Express

Super Express is enjoying a consistent preparation, including a win and four second placings.

He has yet to finish worse than second in nine career starts, which is some effort, and that could continue in this race.

Barrier 12 isn’t easy, but class takes him close.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 11. (21:20) Fostering an Enabling and Inclusive Society Handicap (1800m)

#3 – Winning Wing

Winning Wing gets the benefit of a 1kg claimer riding, and he’s enjoying a good campaign.

The five-year-old son of Preferment is bred to enjoy this distance, and he comes off a third placing behind champion Romantic Warrior.

It’s excellent form for this race, so put him on top.

Stake: 2 Units
