Sha Tin horse racing tips
Race 1. (14:45) Able One C4 Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Chairman Lo – Bet Now
John Size lines up the four-year-old gelding that finished third at Sha Tin last start and he could improve enough to win.
He has yet to win from 14 starts but he owns seven placings and with Joao Moreira in the saddle, he’s going to get every chance of winning.
Drawing barrier 13 isn’t ideal but he has time to find cover.
Race 2. (15:15) Fairy King Prawn C3 Handicap (1200m)
#6 – War of Courage – Bet Now
War of Courage has made a good start to his career and he could continue that form this Sunday. He has five starts for two wins and three placings, including a win at Sha Tin last start.
Drawing barrier 11 could make it tough over this distance, but Chad Schofield is riding brilliantly this season and he could do the job.
Punters should get good each-way odds.
Race 3. (16:45) Oriental Express C4 Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Good Luck Friend – Bet Now
Good Luck Friend is looking to go back-to-back after posting a one-length win last start. The three-year-old had plenty of betting support and it was justified.
It followed a tidy effort on debut for fourth and it’s good to see Zac Purton staying in the saddle. He will have his work cut out for him from barrier 12, but he’s the man for the job.
We’re expecting plenty of money to come his way on race night.
Race 4. (17:15) River Dancer C3 Handicap (1600m)
#2 – Lakeshore Eagle – Bet Now
The five-year-old has recorded four wins from 10 starts and it’s a good start to his career. He comes into this having scored nicely at Sha Tin and it bodes well.
Three of his four wins have come on this track and the son of Master of Design should be able to progress through the grades.
Karis Teetan takes the ride and from barrier five, he should get a dream run over the mile.
Race 6. (18:25) Vengeance of Rain C3 Handicap (1400m)
#1 – Wellington – Bet Now
Wellington is looking to remain unbeaten after three starts and we’re backing him in. The Richard Gibson-trained gelding scored by a length last start and it was a quality outing.
His maiden win came by three lengths and punters have backed him in every start. He started his second win at odds of $1.60 and followed that up at odds of $1.70.
Drawing barrier three is ideal and it’s another good ride for Zac Purton.
Race 9. (20:15) Silent Witness C2 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Computer Patch – Bet Now
Computer Patch gets a few things in his favour here. He jumps from barrier one and he gets Joao Moreira in the saddle.
The son of Exceed and Excel has won three of his nine starts to date, including a narrow win at Sha Tin last month.
He’s in good hands and we’re expecting another good run from the promising three-year-old.
Race 10. (20:50) Bullish Luck C2 Handicap (1600m)
#6 – Band of Brothers – Bet Now
Band of Brothers is looking to go back-to-back after winning narrowly on this track last start. It was his fifth win from only 12 starts, so it’s a good record to date.
Paul O’Sullivan lines up the five-year-old that gets a good run from barrier two and he should be able to hit the line nicely.
Each-way odds could be on offer from bookmakers.
