Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (16:00) Lukfook Jewellery Hexicon C4 (1200m)

#6 – Wonderful Horse – Bet @ Sportsbet

Wonderful Horse finished fifth on debut at Sha Tin but he was only 1.5 lengths behind the winner.

The son of Written Tycoon has been well-backed throughout the week, which could have something to do with Joao Moreira riding.

Barrier four is ideal, so put on top.

Race 2. (16:30) Lukfook Love is Beauty C5 (1200m)

#4 – Sunny and Gold – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sunny and Gold hasn’t done much wrong this preparation and we like his chances of going close.

The five-year-old ran third fresh up before finishing second at Happy Valley. Most of his best form comes at Happy Valley, but Moreira is a key booking.

He only needs luck from the wide barrier to go close.

Race 3. (17:00) Lukfook Wedding Collection C5 (1600m)

#11 – Diamond Star – Bet @ Sportsbet

Diamond Star is having a tough time winning a race after 18 fruitless attempts, but we’re sticking with him.

The six-year-old owns two second placings from seven starts at Sha Tin and he hasn’t been far behind the winner this season.

With six runs under his belt, he has the fitness edge.

Race 4. (17:30) Lukfook Heirloom Collection C4 (1200m)

#1 – Trader – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to cap off consecutive placings is Trader, who has been doing most of his racing at Happy Valley.

The four-year-old was only a length behind the winner two starts back and getting a 1.5kg claimer in the saddle helps.

Barrier two is ideal and punters should take the each-way odds.

Race 5. (18:00) Lukfook Jewellery Goldstyle C4 (1400m)

#2 – Good Buddy – Bet @ Sportsbet

Good Buddy is seeking three consecutive wins after scoring two narrow victories at Sha Tin.

The four-year-old son of Showcasing does his best racing at Sha Tin and he has turned his form around impressively this season.

Barrier 12 doesn’t help his chances, but he should go close with luck.

Race 6. (18:35) Lukfook Jewellery Dear Q C3 (1200m)

#4 – Harmony Spirit – Bet @ Sportsbet

Harmony Spirit already owns two placings this preparation and we think he’s a good chance to break through.

The Douglas Whyte-trained son of Bated Breath rarely runs a bad race and it’s another good ride for Moreira.

Punters should get each-way odds on race night.

Race 7. (19:05) Lukfook Love Forever Collection C4 (1600m)

#1 – Oscar Glory – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Per Incanto scored a win to end his last season and he hasn’t been far away from the mix in three starts this preparation.

He ran second two back at Sha Tin and anything close to that effort should see him winning at each-way odds.

Race 8. (19:35) The Lukfook Jewellery Cup (1400m)

#5 – Blaze Warrior – Bet @ Sportsbet

Blaze Warrior owns four wins and a second placing from five starts, so he will be one of the most popular runners on the card.

The son of Sebring won his first three starts before finishing second fresh up. He got back to winning form with a one-length win last start, so we love his chances here.

Punters should expect short odds.

Race 9. (20:10) Lukfook In Style C3 (1200m)

#6 – Romantic Warrior – Bet @ Sportsbet

Romantic Warrior is unbeaten after two starts and we think his perfect record stays intact.

The three-year-old son of Acclamation won by 1.5 lengths on debut before winning by a length last time out.

There is nothing wrong with that form and it’s another good ride for Moreira.

Race 10. (20:45) Lukfook Style Hey Cool C3 (1600m)

#4 – Super Ten – Bet @ Sportsbet

Super Ten owns three wins from 13 starts and he’s getting close to breaking through this preparation.

The four-year-old son of Ocean Park finished second last time out at Sha Tin and that’s a good form guide.

Alex Badel takes the ride and punters get each-way odds.
