Sha Tin Racing Tips for Saturday, December 20th 2025

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin on Saturday, which features 11 races on the weekend card.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (16:00) Amaryllis Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Circuit Ferry

Circuit Ferry has been a model of consistency throughout his career, including six placings from 16 starts.

The six-year-old son of Tavistock doesn’t meet an overly tough field on Saturday, and having Zac Purton riding helps.

We expect shortening odds on race day.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 2. (16:30) Tulip Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Sunny Q

Looking to win twice this preparation is Sunny Q, who scored at Sha Tin by a nose in October.

The five-year-old son of Rich Enuff hasn’t been too far away since, including a second placing two starts back behind Goldentronnicmighty.

That’s a good form guide, so include him in Hong Kong racing picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (17:00) Amaryllis Handicap (1400m)

#10 – My Flying Angel

My Flying Angel made a good start to his preparation when scoring at Sha Tin, and his efforts since have been good enough.

The five-year-old son of Zoustar owns two wins and five placings overall, and he doesn’t need to lift too much to win here.

Having Vincent Ho riding helps, so he’s worth backing.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 4. (17:30) Cedar Handicap (1000m)

#2 – Packing Glory

We’re backing Packing Glory to remain unbeaten after scoring on debut by 1.2 lengths as a $6.40 chance.

Punters should expect much shorter odds this time around, and it’s good to see Purton sticking with the four-year-old son of Harry Angel.

Anything around $2.90 would be a fair price.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 5. (18:00) The Pok Oi Cup (1200m)

#9 – Great Spirit

Hoping to go one better than last start is Great Spirit, who finished second at Sha Tin.

The five-year-old son of American Pharoah typically runs at big odds, so punters should get double-figure odds on Saturday.

Barrier four is ideal, so he will get his chance in the straight.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (18:35) Erica Handicap (1400m)

#1 – Super Love

Super Love was too good for them as a $12 chance last start, and he’s good enough to produce back-to-back wins.

The five-year-old is a two-time winner at Sha Tin from nine starts, and there isn’t too much depth to this field, so he could take advantage.

He only needs luck from barrier 14 to go close.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (19:05) Hibiscus Handicap (1600m)

#2 – Fit for Beauty

James McDonald rides Fit for Beauty, and he has already scored a win and a placing on board the gelding.

He scored a win two back at Sha Tin by a length before going down by just under a length behind With a Smile. That’s a good form guide for this level of racing.

He should track into the race nicely and show a good kick.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (19:35) Holly Handicap (1200m)

#6 – Loyal Bright

Loyal Bright ran fifth in his Hong Kong debut following three wins at Toowoomba, and he was always going to need the run.

Connections are hoping to find another sprinting start from Toowoomba after he scored at $1.30 odds in April.

He’s a speedster, so give him another chance.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 9. (20:05) Ivy Handicap (1200m)

#7 – Patch of Stars

Gunning for three consecutive wins is Patch of Stars, who pulled out all the stops when winning narrowly last start.

The four-year-old son of All Too Hard owns five wins from only 11 starts at Sha Tin, so his record stands out better than most.

It’s another good ride for Purton, who could have a big day.

Stake: 2.5 Units

Race 10. (20:40) Spruce Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Master of All

Punters should get each-way odds for Master of All, who owns two wins and four placings from his last six starts.

The six-year-old son of Charm Spirit owns five wins and nine placings at Sha Tin, so his record speaks for itself, and he only needs luck from the draw.

Barrier 11 isn’t ideal, but he has time to find cover.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 11. (21:15) Poinsettia Handicap (1600m)

#5 – Invincible Ibis

Shooting for three consecutive wins is Invincible Ibis, who scored at Sha Tin by two lengths before winning by a length last time out.

The four-year-old son of Hellbent gets a gun run from the draw with Purton riding, and that should be reflected in betting markets.

He could rise through the grades without much fuss.

Stake: 2.5 Units
