Sha Tin horse racing tips
Race 1. (16:00) D B Pin C4 Handicap (1000m)
#14 – Bella Baby – Bet @ Sportsbet
Bella Baby scored an impressive half-length win at Sha Tin last start, and he’s capable of going back-to-back.
The six-year-old faces a deeper field here, but he gets only 52kg on his back. That will help and there has been solid betting support throughout the week.
It could pay to follow any betting moves on race day.
Race 2. (16:30) Giant Treasure C4 Handicap (1800m)
#13 – Yes We Can – Bet @ Sportsbet
Yes We Can scored an overdue win at Sha Tin last start and the five-year-old is good enough to go back-to-back.
The son of I Am Invincible took 13 starts to get over the line first, but it should give him plenty of confidence for the rest of the season.
Punters should get each-way odds and they’re worth taking against an even field.
Race 3. (17:00) Glorious Days C4 Handicap (1400m)
#5 – Fortune Master – Bet @ Sportsbet
Coming off a 2.3-length win is Fortune Master, which didn’t show much from his first six starts. He had good betting support when scoring last start, so connections must have known something.
The Lui-trained four-year-old is bred to be better than average, and he could go close against an even betting field on Sunday.
We expect bookmakers to have him firm in the market.
Race 4. (17:30) Beat The Clock C3 Handicap (1400m)
#10 – Harmony Win Win – Bet @ Sportsbet
Douglas Whyte lines up the four-year-old gelding that couldn’t have been more impressive winning on debut in Australia.
The son of Jakkalberry hasn’t raced since April 2020, but he scored by six lengths at Mornington, which was a fine effort.
He clearly has ability and getting in at 52.5kg will only help his chances.
Race 6. (18:35) Seasons Bloom C3 Handicap (2000m)
#3 – Enrichment – Bet @ Sportsbet
John Size lines up the six-year-old gelding that own three wins and nine placings. He hasn’t been far away this season, and the addition of Joao Moreira is ideal.
The son of Teofilo has had plenty of experience at Sha Tin with 21 starts, so he won’t be worried about the bright lights of Sha Tin.
Watch the market and see if the big bets come.
Race 9. (20:15) Helene Paragon C2 Handicap (1800m)
#4 – Reliable Team – Bet @ Sportsbet
Reliable Team is a five-time winner from 18 starts, and although his recent form has been moderate, he is better than most in this field.
The Frankie Lor-trained gelding ran at Group 3 level last start behind Savvy Nine, so that form should stack up nicely for this race.
His form at Sha Tin reads well and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him win with Zac Purton in the saddle.
Race 10. (20:50) Peniaphobia C3 Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Sight Success – Bet @ Sportsbet
Sight Success is unbeaten after two starts and both wins have been top quality. The Size-trained four-year-old could have bigger sights in store next season, but he is being patiently handled.
He won by 1.5 lengths on debut at Sha Tin and followed it up with another 1.5-length win. He paid only $1.10 to win last start, but punters should get better odds this time around.
Joao Moreira sticks with him and that is a good sign.
