We have expert betting tips for the card this Sunday at Sha Tin, which features 11 quality betting races.
It’s the final day of the season in Hong Kong and it’s a night where records could be broken and premierships will be won.
Sha Tin free tips & form
Race 1. (14:30) Medic Kingdom Handicap (1800m)
#6 – Above – Bet Now
Zac Purton is chasing records and he could score in the first with Above. He ran on well from midfield when finishing third last start and that should be good form for this.
Trained by John Moore, he looks well-suited to score as there are no superstars in this field. Should be running at each-way odds which means plenty of value for punters.
Race 2. (15:00) Mr Award Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Whiskey Knight – Bet Now
Whiskey Knight has improved with every run this campaign and that should bode well for this.
The Moore-trained runner didn’t look good when finishing out of the money earlier this season, but he has improved nicely since. His most recent run for fourth was a good form guide and he could add some value.
Aldo Domeyer rides and he has been kicking home plenty of winners.
Race 3. (15:30) All You Wish C4 (1400m)
#15 – War Lord – Bet Now
Joao Moreira is going to need to work his magic from barrier 15 but he’s riding a promising type which could get the job done.
The John Size-trained runner was a winner on debut before running a disappointing eighth last start. He has been given a spell to mature and he should come back in good order.
There has been good money come for him so include here.
Race 4. (16:00) Victory Marvel C4 (1200m)
#3 – Monkey Jewellery – Bet Now
We came up just short with Monkey Jewellery last start but he could get the job done this time around.
The Size-trained runner finished a close second at Sha Tin last time out and he has been improving with every run this time in.
He has drawn to get all favours from barrier five and we’re expecting a top effort.
Race 5. (16:30) Big Profit Handicap (1400m)
#10 – My Winner – Bet Now
My Winner has been around the mark throughout this campaign and he could improve to take this out.
The Yiu-trained runner will have the services of Zac Purton to help and that’s a big advantage at this stage of the season.
His last few runs have been just off the mark and with natural improvement, expect a good effort here.
Race 6. (17:00) Solar Hei Hei C4 (1800m)
#11 – Dor Dor – Bet Now
Dor Dor looked a good chance last start when running second and he should be fitter for the run now.
The Size-trained runner hasn’t quite been able to win of late but he has been running good races without much luck in running.
He settled quite far back last start and Moreira should settle him closer here. If he does, Dor Dor could hit the front and be tough to stop.
Race 7. (17:30) Entrapment C3 Handicap (1200m)
#1 – Hello Beauty – Bet Now
It doesn’t often take this runner long to get back into the winners’ enclosure, so expect a top effort from Hello Beauty.
The Moore-trained runner has been around the mark in three runs this campaign and he was only a length behind the winner last start when finishing fifth.
He was paying $13 on that occasion but expect much lower odds for this.
Race 8. (18:05) The Sha Tin Mile Trophy (1600m)
#5 – Good Standing – Bet Now
That was an impressive win two back and although he didn’t follow it up last start, he wasn’t all that far away in the run.
That came at Group 3 level and given his 2.25-length win prior to that, we’re prepared to forgive that run and go again.
He should find this more to his liking and with Purton in the saddle, he should be a good trip in transit.
Race 9. (18:40) Sight Winner C3 (1400m)
#5 – Young Legend – Bet Now
Young Legend was a good winner two back at Sha Tin when scoring by 1.5 lengths and he wasn’t far away last time out.
He should take good benefit from that run when finishing fifth behind Good Beauty. Although they face off again here, he has the ability to turn the tables on that result.
Punters should be getting a good price for Young Legend.
Race 10. (19:15) Contentment Handicap (1600m)
#2 – Buddies – Bet Now
Form is with Buddies, which has three wins from his last four starts. The only non-win came two back when finishing second so take nothing away from that.
He scored by 2.75 lengths as the favourite last start and although facing a harder field here, he should be able to handle it.
The wide draw makes it tricky but he looks a good-value runner.
Race 11. (19:50) Racehorse Owners C2 (1400m)
#6 – Thanks Forever – Bet Now
A little disappointing last start but it’s tough to rule out his previous form.
The Moore-trained runner had rattled off three consecutive wins prior to that defeat but we’ll put that down to a lack of experience.
Gets in well on the weights here, Purton rides and he jumps from a good barrier.
