Sha Tin Racing Tips for Sunday, June 21st 2026

We have expert betting tips for racing at Sha Tin in Hong Kong on Sunday, which includes 11 races at the quality weekend meeting.

Punters get good value odds for the Hong Kong racing feature, and we have betting tips for every race on the card.

Race 1. (19:00) Ruby Handicap (1000m)

#8 – Invictus

Invictus has the benefit of race day experience, and his placing two starts back is a good form guide.

The three-year-old son of Savabeel followed it up with a close fourth, and getting Zac Purton in the saddle only helps his chances.

Look for a betting push on race day.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 2. (19:30) Spessartine Garnet Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Winning Machine

Looking to cap off consistent form is Winning Machine, who has four placings from his last five starts.

The four-year-old son of Lean Mean Machine has yet to win from 15 starts, but his recent form has been a good turnaround.

We expect him to go close with Joao Moreira riding.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 3. (20:00) Diamond Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Packing Glory

Packing Glory ran well for second last time out at Sha Tin, and a repeat of that effort could be enough to take him close.

The four-year-old son of Harry Angel gets help in the weights with a 4.5kg claim, and Nichola Yuen is riding very well this season.

He should be sent forward and tough to get past.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 4. (20:30) Diamond Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Oldtown

Winning form is good form in this race, and Oldtown was too good for them last time out at Sha Tin.

The Mark Newnham-trained gelding owns two wins from 11 starts, and he paid only $2.90 when scoring by a half-length.

Punters should get better odds, but Purton will drive down the price.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 5. (21:00) Topaz Handicap (1600m)

#12 – Lucky Year

Looking to cap off consecutive placings with a win is Lucky Year, who placed at Sha Tin on both occasions.

The four-year-old son of U S Navy Flag is improving with every run of his six-start career, so he should be in the mix.

Punters are likely to get each-way odds from bookmakers.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 6. (21:30) Emerald Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Come Fast Fay Fay

Boasting two wins from his last five starts is Come Fast Fay Fay, who scored by two lengths last time out.

The four-year-old son of Wrote will need a good ride from barrier 12, but it’s another plum ride for Purton, who could have a big day.

He’s good enough to go back-to-back, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 7. (22:05) The Premier Cup (1400m)

#1 – Galaxy Patch

Galaxy Patch has been running in tough races, including running fourth behind Ka Ying Rising three starts ago.

The six-year-old is an eight-time winner at Sha Tin, and he has enough class to get back to his best form against a field that’s there for the taking.

Look for a solid betting push on race night.

Stake: 2 Units

Race 8. (22:40) Lapis Lazuli Handicap (2000m)

#11 – Shamus Storm

Shamus Storm won well earlier this preparation, and although beaten since, he could get back to his best form on Sunday.

The four-year-old son of Shamus Award gets in with only 54.5kg on his back, and Purton adds to his book of rides.

It’s an even field, so punters should get each-way odds from bookies.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 9. (23:15) The Premier Plate (1800m)

#1 – Cap Ferrat

It’s hard to believe Cap Ferrat is only a one-time winner, but he hasn’t escaped running against the best in Hong Kong.

He finished ninth behind Romantic Warrior last time out, and he has finished behind the likes of My Wish, Lucky Sweynesse, and Beauty Joy.

He deserves another win, and it could come on Sunday night.

Stake: 1.5 Units

Race 10. (23:50) Sapphire handicap (1200m)

#6 – Tang Heart

Punters could get each-way odds for Tang Heart, who ran third behind Ka Ying Attack last time out.

It was a solid effort in his return to the track, and he doesn’t need to improve too much to figure in the finish.

Moreira rides with 55kg, which helps.

Stake: 1 Unit

Race 11. (00:25) Amythyst Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Cool Boy

Cool Boy showed form when winning three consecutive races earlier this prep, and we’re happy to stick with him.

The three-year-old son of Per Incanto was only 1.2 lengths behind the winner last start, so he didn’t lose admirers with that performance.

Barrier three is ideal, so include him in picks.

Stake: 1.5 Units
