Race 1. (14:45) Wu King C5 Handicap (1200m)
#5 – Supreme Plus – Bet Now
The four-year-old son of Nicconi finished only a nose behind the winner at Happy Valley last start and this isn’t a strong form race.
He is finding it tough to win but with the services of Joao Moreira, he should be able to get a good run in transit.
Each-way odds are available so consider.
Race 2. (15:15) Po Tin C4 Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Monkey Jewellery – Bet Now
The John Size-trained gelding is coming off three consecutive third placings and he has the ability to improve.
He is a son of Exceed and Excel that has been close up at Happy Valley and his best form comes at Sha Tin. He owns two wins and two placings at Sha Tin, so he’s a leading chance.
It is another good ride for Joao Moreira.
Race 3. (15:45) Po Tin C4 Handicap (1200m)
#4 – Noble Man – Bet Now
There has been good betting support for Noble Man, which finished second on debut at Happy Valley.
He didn’t fire last time out when running eighth behind What a Legend, but he is worth a chance based on his debut effort.
Drawing barrier three should see him fighting out the finish over this distance.
Race 4. (16:15) Yau Oi C5 Handicap (1800m)
#5 – Little General – Bet Now
The Charlie Shum-trained runner is getting closer to a win after finishing a close-up fourth at Sha Tin last month.
He owns three placings from 16 starts, so the win is overdue, but he is worth backing on an each-way basis this week.
Race 5. (17:05) Tai Hing C4 Handicap (1600m)
#2 – Jade Fortune – Bet Now
Jade Fortune is getting close to a win after posting two placings from his last three starts. The Manfred Man-trained gelding is looking to turn around some poor form at Sha Tin, but he has ability.
He has yet to finish in the money in 16 starts at Sha Tin, but he does run well on the all-weather track at this course.
Having Zac Purton in the saddle is a bonus and it could spur him on.
Race 6. (17:40) Sam Shing C4 Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Heza Beauty – Bet Now
Heza Beauty has made a good start to his career and the son of Darci Brahma couldn’t have gone any closer to winning last start.
The three-year-old gets the services of Joao Moreira for the fourth consecutive run and that should give punters plenty of confidence.
His first win will come soon and it could come on Sunday.
Race 7. (18:10) Fu Tai C3 Handicap (1000m)
#5 – War of Courage – Bet Now
The three-year-old son of Declaration of War scored a close win at Sha Tin in March before placing at his next two starts.
He has yet to finish worse than third from all seven career starts, so he’s a professional type that has a nice future.
It is another good ride for Moreira and he could have a big day.
Race 8. (18:40) Lung Yat C3 Handicap (1400m)
#4 – Relentless Me – Bet Now
Relentless Me is shooting for three consecutive wins and he gets every chance to do so. The seven-time winner has found consistent form this season and he does his best racing on this track.
Jerry Chau takes 4.5kg off his back, taking his weight down to 53kg and that should make him tough to beat once again.
Race 9. (19:15) On Ting C3 Handicap (1600m)
#9 – Cheerful Leader – Bet Now
The four-year-old son of Helmet hasn’t put a foot wrong in some time now and he looks set for another top effort.
He has finished in the money in seven of his nine starts, which includes a win at Sha Tin. He won by 1.5 lengths and even though Moreira jumps off his back, he might have made a bad decision.
Race 10. (19:50) Butterfly C2 Handicap (1400m)
#2 – Glorious Spectrum – Bet Now
The five-year-old is getting close to a win after placing in five from eight starts. He was only a nose behind the winner last start and there’s plenty to like about that run.
The jockey is riding in good form this season and that only adds to the appeal of Glorious Spectrum.
Each-way odds could be on offer.
