Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (20:45) Shearwater C4 Handicap (1200m)

#8 – Little Thunder – Bet Now

Little Thunder is looking to go back-to-back after winning at Sha Tin last start. The Tony Millard-trained gelding scored by 1.3 lengths and he’s capable of winning again.

The son of Hussonet took some time to find his feet but he is enjoying the all-weather track and he gets another go on Wednesday.

Punters are getting each-way odds.

Race 2. (21:15) Swan C5 Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Hidden Spirit – Bet Now

Paul O’Sullivan lines up the son of Alamosa that’s in form this season. He has rattled off consecutive wins coming into this race, both coming on this track.

His most recent win came in April where he held off Ka Ying Brilliance by a narrow margin. There’s little wrong with that form and the inside draw is ideal.

Race 3. (21:45) Shearwater C4 Handicap (1200m)

#11 – Demons Rock – Bet Now

Demons Rock capped off solid form with a win at Sha Tin last start. The David Hall-trained gelding scored by 1.8 lengths and he was cruising at the line.

It bodes well for this run and although Zac Purton jumps off his back, it’s because he’s dropping down to 53.5kg. Matthew Poon takes another 1kg off his back and that makes him harder to beat.

Each-way odds should be available with bookmakers.

Race 4. (22:15) Egret C2 Handicap (1650m)

#1 – Buddies – Bet Now

Buddies will look to go back-to-back after winning at Sha Tin earlier this month. The four-year-old won by over a length and there was a lot to like about that performance.

He’s a five-time winner from only 15 starts and with the addition of a 4.5kg claimer, he looks tough to beat once again.

The only worry is the wide draw but it shouldn’t matter much over this distance.

Race 5. (22:45) Shearwater C4 Handicap (1200m)

#8 – Striking Mr C – Bet Now

The two-time winner resumed with a handy fourth at Sha Tin and that came behind Little Thunder, so watch the opening race.

He’s a son of Super Easy that scored by 5.8 lengths and 3.5 lengths last preparation. That form is tough to overlook and if he’s anywhere near his best, he’s tough to stop.

Race 6. (23:15) Flamingo C3 Handicap (1200m)

#10 – Super Power Man – Bet Now

Super Power Man is running super this season. He has turned around a five-length defeat on debut to score at his next two starts.

The three-year-old gelding won by a nose at Sha Tin last start and although tight on the line, it showed his strength.

Dropping to 54.5kg is ideal and Chad Schofield takes the ride.

Race 7. (23:45) Spoonbill C4 Handicap (1650m)

#9 – Megatron – Bet Now

Megatron is always worth an each-way bet and he comes into this race off a win. The Yiu-trained gelding won by just under a length at Sha Tin last start.

He’s not the most consistent runner going around, but he’s an eight-year-old and with that comes experience.

It’s an open field and he could take advantage at juicy odds.

Race 8. (00:15) Flamingo C3 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Utopia Life – Bet Now

Utopia Life scored a three-length win at Sha Tin in April and he’s capable of getting back to that form.

The four-year-old gelding finished only a half-length behind the winner at Sha Tin last start and that came behind Silver Fig.

It’s good form for this race and he should go well again.

Race 9. (00:50) Peacock C3 Handicap (1650m)

#7 – Touch of Luck – Bet Now

Touch of Luck is coming off a win on this track and he like his chances of going back-to-back. The five-year-old paid double-figure odds to win and he’ll be shorter in the betting this time around.

His record on this track consists of nine starts for two wins and three placings. It bodes well for a good run and drawing barrier three is ideal.

Expect a solid run from the son of Hard Spun.
