Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:45) Chevalier Alum Engineering C4 (1000m)

#3 – Infinity Win – Bet @ Sportsbet

Infinity Win owns four placings from five starts, including two placings at Sha Tin, which is a good form guide.

The four-year-old son of Proisir ran a length behind the winner at Happy Valley last start and we think that form stacks up best.

Punters get each-way odds to enjoy in the opener.

Race 2. (16:15) Chevalier Car Dealership C4 (1600m)

#9 – Light of Wanshi – Bet @ Sportsbet

Light of Wanshi has had two runs this season and he looks ready to show his best. The five-year-old ran third fresh up at Sha Tin before going well enough last time out.

The son of Ocean Park owns only one win from 10 starts, but he’s not taking on an overly tough field here.

Barrier two and having Zac Purton in the saddle is ideal.

Race 3. (16:45) Chevalier Construction C4 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Whizz Kid – Bet @ Sportsbet

Whizz Kid has yet to win from three attempts, but the Tony Cruz-trained runner demands respect.

The three-year-old colt by Shalaa opened his account with consecutive second placings at Sha Tin before running fourth last time out.

Having Joao Moreira riding is a bonus and that will drive down the odds.

Race 4. (17:15) Chevalier E&M Engineering C5 (1400m)

#10 – Victorious Leader – Bet @ Sportsbet

Victorious Leader is a three-time winner who isn’t the most consistent type going around, but dangerous on his day.

The seven-year-old son of Alamosa finished third at Sha Tin last start and that should give punters some confidence.

He was a winner in September and anything close to that effort is good enough.

Race 5. (18:05) Chevalier Enviro Engineer C3 (1200m)

#2 – Five Elements – Bet @ Sportsbet

Five Elements hasn’t done much wrong throughout his career with five starts for two wins and two placings.

The Frankie Lor-trained three-year-old kicked off his career in New Zealand, including a Group 2 win at Trentham. His efforts since arriving in Hong Kong have been good and he looks ready to strike.

Barrier 12 makes it hard, but he’s a talented type.

Race 6. (18:40) Chevalier Healthcare Invest C4 (1400m)

#7 – Sight Spirit – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sight Spirit hasn’t been far away in two starts to date and he could improve on that form considerably.

The Size-trained four-year-old has been well-backed on both occasions, including when running as a $2.10 chance last start.

It’s another good ride for Moreira and he could get the job done.

Race 7. (19:10) The Chevalier Cup C1 (1600m)

#11 – Silver Express – Bet @ Sportsbet

Silver Express owns four wins from 10 starts and he was doing enough when sixth fresh up behind Lucky Express.

The five-year-old is a former Australian who showed his class when beating Alburq at Flemington, so he has class on his side.

Carrying 51.5kg makes him tough to beat.

Race 8. (19:40) Chevalier Lifts C3 Handicap (1600m)

#1 – Hit the Shot – Bet @ Sportsbet

Hit the Shot is having his first Hong Kong start after showing plenty of promise in Australia.

He finished second behind Johnny Get Angry in the Victoria Derby last year and hasn’t raced since, but he could hit the ground running.

He won on debut over 1400m, so that should give punters confidence.

Race 9. (20:15) Chevalier Property C3 (1200m)

#9 – Jazz Angel – Bet @ Sportsbet

Jazz Angel looked good winning his first two starts in Australia before running fifth fresh up in Hong Kong.

The four-year-old won at Goulburn before doubling down at Gosford, which was enough to see him sold to Hong Kong interests.

Getting 52.5kg on his back is ideal, so keep him safe.

Race 10. (20:50) Chevalier Property Invest C2 (1400m)

#3 – My Sugar – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Deep Field is shooting for three consecutive wins after scoring at Sha Tin by 1.8 lengths last time out.

He is a four-time winner from eight starts, and he also owns three placings, so he doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

Getting the inside draw suits and Purton rides.
