Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (16:00) Girard Perregaux Excellent C4 (2000m)

#1 – Ezra – Bet @ Sportsbet

Ezra comes off a win at Sha Tin by 1.5 lengths, and he can continue his winning form on Sunday.

The son of Oratorio finished second at his last start last season, so it was a good sign seeing him find form fresh up.

Karis Teetan rides, so include.

Race 2. (16:30) IWC Schaffhausen C4 (1400m)

#3 – Romantic Combo – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Cappella Sansevero has yet to win, but he looked good when running third at Sha Tin last time out.

It was an encouraging performance for the maiden runner, who has always been around the mark. He has four placings to his name, and getting Joao Moreira in the saddle is ideal.

Barrier two should see him land on the speed and kick strongly.

Race 3. (17:00) H Moser Excellent C4 (1200m)

#2 – Gracylove – Bet @ Sportsbet

David Hall lines up the son of Shooting to Win, who scored a win three back and followed it up with consecutive placings.

He paid each-way odds when scoring in May, and although beaten as the favourite in two starts since, punters should keep the faith.

Zac Purton rides and that will drive his price down.

Race 4. (17:30) Grand Seiko C4 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Victory Scholars – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Per Incanto built strongly towards the win last season, and he could kick off on the right foot on Sunday.

He started his career with a placing at Sha Tin, and subsequently added placings at Sha Tin in May and June. Those runs were good form guides as he would win at Sha Tin against a smart field last start.

Getting barrier two is ideal and it’s another good ride for Purton.

Race 5. (18:00) Franck Muller C3 Handicap (1800m)

#9 – Above – Bet @ Sportsbet

Above doesn’t win all that often, but he rarely runs a bad race. The son of Tavistock ran seventh fresh up at Sha Tin, but was only 3.4 lengths behind the winner.

The Tony Millard-trained runner scored his most recent win last December, and although it has been 10 months since, he’s due another win.

It could pay to watch betting moves on race day.

Race 6. (18:35) The Premier Bowl (1200m)

#1 – Sky Field – Bet @ Sportsbet

Class is with Sky Field, who finished second in the National Day Cup last start. It was a nice return from a spell, so that should give punters confidence.

The son of Deep Field looked good when winning the Premier Cup in June, which came over the highly talented Sky Darci.

He’s a smart animal and good enough to beat this field.

Race 7. (19:05) Parmigiani Fleurier C2 (1800m)

#5 – C P Brave – Bet @ Sportsbet

The son of Zoffany looked the goods when winning fresh up at Sha Tin, and we’re not jumping off his back here.

He scored by 1.5 lengths as the odds-on favourite, and punters should expect similar odds on Sunday.

The former European has matured more quickly than most in Hong Kong, so he’s on top of selections here.

Race 8. (19:35) Sha Tin Trophy (1600m)

#7 – Sky Darci – Bet @ Sportsbet

Sky Darci ran third behind Buddies fresh up, and although beaten as the odds-on favourite, he wasn’t far behind the winner.

The son of Darci Brahma scored a win in the Lion Rock Trophy before running second behind Sky Field in the Premier Cup.

There is little wrong with that form, so he goes on top.

Race 9. (20:10) Corum Excellent C3 Handicap (1400m)

#2 – My Sugar – Bet @ Sportsbet

My Sugar is searching for three consecutive wins after scoring by 1.5 lengths last month.

The son of Deep Field already owns three wins from seven starts, so he has made a positive start to his career.

Zac Purton rides and we’re confident of another big run.

Race 10. (20:45) Piaget Excellent C2 Handicap (1200m)

#2 – Fantastic Treasure – Bet @ Sportsbet

Fantastic Treasure is unbeaten after five starts, and he is a hype runner at the Sunday meeting.

The son of Written Tycoon was good enough to score by four lengths last campaign, and his form since has been steady.

Most of the early money has come his way, and we like his chances.
