Sha Tin horse racing tips
Race 1. (15:15) Dongguan C5 Handicap (1200m)
#10 – Rochford – Bet Now
Rochford looked good last season when placing three back and again placing last time out.
His most recent run came at Sha Tin when running 2.75 lengths behind the winner as a well-backed type.
This isn’t a strong field and getting in with only 52.5kg on his back is a big bonus.
Race 2. (15:45) Forshan C4 Handicap (1800m)
#1 – Enfolding – Bet Now
Consistency is key with Enfolding, which has finished second at his last four starts.
The Caspar Fownes-trained runner has already had two starts this season and that race fitness will do him plenty of good here.
Drawing barrier seven is ideal and seeing Zac Purton in the saddle is only going to help its chances.
Race 3. (16:15) Huizhou C5 Handicap (1650m)
#1 – Mr Magellan – Bet Now
Form is with Mr Magellan, which hasn’t won for awhile now but has been running consistent races.
The Tsui-trained runner wasn’t far behind the winner at Sha Tin last time out and there isn’t much opposition to speak of here.
It’s an easier race and he should be able to take advantage of that.
Race 4. (16:45) The Kwangtung Cup C2 (1650m)
#7 – Buddies – Bet Now
Buddies got the job done for us last start and he could win again. The John Moore-trained runner scored by 1.3 lengths and that was a top fresh effort.
He’s only going to improve with more racing under his belt this season and this race looks an ideal target.
Drawing barrier four is ideal and with a good ride, he should prove tough to hold out.
Race 5. (17:15) Shenzhen Handicap C4 (1200m)
#10 – Promise Kept – Bet Now
Tony Millard lines up Promise Kept, which is third-up here after running two solid races this season.
He finished sixth last time out and although a long way from the winner, he was making good ground late.
This isn’t an overly strong field and we’re confident he can run a good race at each-way odds.
Race 6. (18:05) Shenzhen Handicap C4 (1200m)
#8 – Fortune Happiness – Bet Now
There was good money for Fortune Happiness fresh up and he didn’t disappoint. The Lui-trained runner scored by 1.8 lengths and he could score again.
It was a good turn around in form after showing good consistency last campaign, but not winning very often.
Joao Moreira rides and that will lower the price.
Race 7. (18:40) Guangzhou C3 Handicap (1200m)
#2 – Silver Fig – Bet Now
Silver Fig was beaten last start but certainly not disgraced. The Millard-trained runner was a winner fresh up and followed that up with a nice effort.
He was only 2.5 lengths behind the winner and punters should look at his three-length win to open this campaign.
That’s a great form guide and with a good ride, he’ll be right in the thick of the action again.
Race 8. (19:15) Zhuhai Handicap C3 (1650m)
#8 – Bear Slam – Bet Now
Bear Slam has been around the mark in both runs this season and that form looks good enough for this.
He finished second when fresh up on this track. He was only 1.3 lengths behind the winner and that form should stack up.
Bear Slam has attracted plenty of attention in the betting and should run accordingly.
Race 9. (19:50) Guangzhou C3 Handicap (1200m)
#3 – Coby Oppa – Bet Now
Coby Oppa scored two wins from his last three starts and he could make a winning return.
The Lor-trained runner won on this track by a nose last start and he has been facing some solid opposition.
Moreira takes the ride and with a good ride, he’ll be fighting out the finish.
