Yee Cheong Raider is still seeking his first win from 15 attempts, but this isn’t an overly deep field, and he could take advantage.
The five-year-old son of Deep Field ran second three starts back before finishing sixth at his last two starts, which weren’t bad efforts.
We expect him to be fighting out the finish.

Double Bingo comes off three consecutive placings, including finishing a half-length behind the winner last time out.
The five-year-old son of Charm Spirit gets in nicely on the weights at 54.5kg, which is enough to take him close against this field.
He is the form runner of the field, so put him on top.

New Power didn’t fire when eighth last time out, but he wasn’t far away from the prize, and his form prior was good.
The five-year-old son of Swiss Ace scored a good win last preparation before posting three consecutive placings, and anything close to that form is good enough.
Getting 2.5kg off his back is enough to take him close.

Zac Purton teams up with Reliable Profit, who wasn’t far away when running third fresh up at Sha Tin.
The seven-year-old son of Reliable Man was good enough to score three consecutive wins last preparation, so he won’t be far off a winning run.
Getting Purton in the saddle is likely to shorten his odds on race day.

Looking to improve on recent form is Vulcanus, who has finished under three lengths from the winner in two starts this campaign.
The five-year-old son of Lean Mean Machine won by 2.2 lengths to end last season, and his record at Sha Tin consists of a win and five placings from 10 starts.
He’s good enough to figure in the finish, and the odds could be handy.
Stake: 1 Unit
California Star might have needed the fresh up run when finishing fifth at Sha Tin, and we’re happy to give him another chance.
The Tony Cruz-trained four-year-old broke maidens with a win at Sha Tin last campaign, so something close to that performance will be good enough.
Getting some weight off his back could be enough to take him close.
Stake: 1 Unit
Looking to turn around a disappointing performance is Dragon Four Seas, who was good enough to win four races earlier this year.
That form is easily good enough to handle this level of racing, and although he’s yet to race at Sha Tin All Weather, he should handle the different conditions.
Look for each-way odds on race night.
Stake: 1 Unit
Shooting for three consecutive wins is Precision Goal, who dug deep to score at Sha Tin last time out.
The seven-year-old son of Tavistock owns five wins and six placings at Sha Tin, which is good enough form for this level of racing.
Dropping to 50kg is another positive, so we can’t leave him out of our picks.
