Sha Tin horse racing tips

Race 1. (15:00) Beltcher Bay C5 Handicap (1800m)

#3 – Regency Gem –  Bet Now

Regency Gem has back-to-back placings coming into this and he looks a good chance to break through.

The So-trained runner finished third at Sha Tin last month and a similar effort would be enough to take him close here.

That followed a good run for second earlier this season and he will be finishing off stoutly in this race.

Race 2. (15:30) Central C4 Handicap (1800m)

#2 – Crown Avenue –  Bet Now

C Yip lines up the talented gelding which scored a good win fresh up at Sha Tin and he will be well-supported to win again.

That followed three consecutive placings last campaign and he was always going to improve with the break.

Zac Purton is a key rider to have in the saddle and there is plenty of improvement to come from this promising type.

Race 3. (16:00) High West C5 Handicap (1650m)

#8 – Hidden Spirit –  Bet Now

Paul O’Sullivan lines up the talented type which scored a win at his most recent start.

He scored by three lengths at Sha Tin in July and although he rises up in weight for this, he deserves to be highly weighted.

Gets Karis Teetan in the saddle and although he needs some luck from the draw, Teetan is riding in red-hot form.

Race 4. (16:30) Kennedy Town C4 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Splendid Timing –  Bet Now

Improvement will be needed by Splendid Timing, but this isn’t an overly strong race and he could take advantage.

He improved with every run towards the back-end of his previous campaign and there has been good early money for him.

Can fire fresh up and he should be given a chance here.

Race 5. (17:00) Lung Fu C4 Handicap (1400m)

#9 – Sprint Forward –  Bet Now

Sprint Forward has had the benefit of a race day start this season and that could give him the edge over My Winner.

The John Moore-trained runner finished second at Sha Tin by 1.3 lengths last start and the added fitness will be ideal.

Form last campaign was relatively average but the penny might have dropped.

Race 6. (17:35) Mount Davis C4 Handicap (1650m)

#5 – Enfolding –  Bet Now

Enfolding is knocking on the door of a big win after four consecutive placings. The Fownes-trained runner ran 3.5 lengths behind the winner last start but he’s only going to improve.

His form has come on the all-weather track mostly but with Zac Purton taking the ride, expect to see plenty of money come for him.

Drawn well and a win is coming soon.

Race 7. (16:05) Senate Cup (1650m)

#11 – Deal Maker –  Bet Now

Deal Maker comes into this following a win over Enfolding by 3.5 lengths last time out. That form might be franked earlier in the night.

The Ting-trained runner has won his last two starts to prepare for this run and he has been paying short prices to win.

Punters might get slightly better odds this time around as this field is packed full of quality types.

Deal Maker goes on top here.

Race 8. (16:35) Sai Ying Pun C3 (1200m)

#4 – Band of Brothers –  Bet Now

Band of Brothers is a really nice type in the making after winning three of his last four starts.

The O’Sullivan-trained runner scored by a narrow margin on this track in June before going on a spell.

He resumes here and he typically finds form quickly in his campaign.

Having Zac Purton in the saddle is going to help and he should be one of the better-backed runners in the field.

Race 9. (19:10) Shek Tong Tsui C3 (1200m)

#11 – California Gungho –  Bet Now

The Tony Cruz-trained runner isn’t lacking fitness for this run and that should play in his favour.

He was only narrowly beaten by a neck last month and given that he likes to lead, they could struggle to catch him.

He gets in nicely on the weights at 54kg and having Joao “The Magic Man” Moreira in the saddle can’t hurt his chances.

Race 10. (19:45) Sheung Wan C2 Handicap (1400m)

#3 – Hezthewonforus –  Bet Now

Hezthewonforus kicked off his previous campaign with a win and he could do the same here.

The Size-trained runner finished fifth at his last two starts but they both came against some slick opposition.

Another quality ride for Moreira and he could end the night on a high.
