2018 Sires’ Produce Stakes Form Guide & Tips
Encryption ($16) – BET NOW
James Cummings lines up the son of Lonhro which scored well at Canberra last start but this is much harder here.
His recent trial at Randwick was only fair and it’s going to be a tough ask from barrier 13.
Long Leaf (Best Each Way – $9) – BET NOW
That was a terrific run in the Golden Slipper from Long Leaf, which got well back in the run and ran home solidly for sixth.
The one-time Blue Diamond favourite will enjoy jumping from barrier two and he has the experience to handle this field.
Bookmakers have the son of Fastnet Rock at great value odds and we’re expecting his price to shorten on race day.
Not A Single Cent (Best Roughie – $12) – BET NOW
Great effort to score at Flemington last start and he would be much shorter in the market if he drew a barrier.
The Aaron Purcell-trained runner has many more wins in store and he could be the upset runner at double-figure odds in this.
Include in all selections.
Spin ($17) – BET NOW
We liked Spin to win last start at Rosehill but he raced greenly in the straight when presented.
He would need to improve to win this race and whilst he has plenty of ability, back him in something a touch easier.
Bondi ($19) – BET NOW
In a similar camp to Spin – good win last start but this is much harder.
The Snowden-trained colt scored by just under a length at Newcastle last start after looking under pressure in the straight and despite running sixth behind Sunlight in the Magic Millions, a place-bearing position looks best for him.
Seberate ($16) – BET NOW
Has won once from four starts and that came at Pakenham Park.
Needs to lift here and a win would be a massive upset.
Tchaikovsky ($9) – BET NOW
The Snowden-trained colt was a big winner at Gosford last start and it makes the rise in grade for this.
Betting suggests that he’s had plenty of support throughout the week and drawing barrier five should ensure he stays steady in the market, but this is harder and he could be fighting for a top five position.
Outrageous ($21) – BET NOW
Didn’t fire a shot behind Not A Single Cent at Flemington last start and it’s hard to see him turning the tables on that result.
Win would surprise.
Ragged Rascal ($67) – BET NOW
Maiden win came at Tamworth and his recent efforts have been poor.
Shot in the dark by connections here.
Ringerdingding ($27) – BET NOW
Did well to win on debut at Rosehill but his form has tapered off since.
Well-held behind Written By and Irukandji his last two starts and he would need an off track to show his best.
Adana ($16) – BET NOW
Two starts for two placings and it looks to have a city win in store, but not at Group 1 level.
Likely to struggle here and finishing in the first half of the field would be considered a success.
Affogato ($201) – BET NOW
Not close in three starts to date and we question why he’s in the field.
Oohood (Best Bet – $3.50) – BET NOW
Yet to win a race but he’s clearly the best maiden runner in Australia.
The Tony McEvoy-trained juvenile finished second in the Golden Slipper and he was hitting the line with purpose.
That’s going to be a great form guide for this and he’s going to relish the extra distance.
Time for the son of I Am Invincible to secure his first win and do it in style.
Seabrook ($4.90) – BET NOW
Close-up fifth in the Golden Slipper and she’s likely to biggest threat to Oohood, but the odds don’t appeal.
$5 is a touch short for our liking but the Mick Price-trained filly is set to give punters a good sight and she should finish in the top five.
El Dorado Dreaming ($201) – BET NOW
Promises but unlikely to go close here.
