There is plenty of value on offer for punters and we have picked out the best races throughout the day on Sunday.
Sunday horse racing tips
Race 1. (11:55) Ladbrokes Hurdle BM120 (3400m)
#9 – Saunter Boy @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Saunter Boy is finding it tough to win races but going over hurdles could be his calling. The Maher/Eustace-trained gelding ran fourth at Flemington last start and that is a good form guide.
He owns more flat speed than most runners in this field and we are not surprised to see money come his way since markets opened.
Race 2. (12:35) Grand National Hurdle (4200m)
#1 – Tallyhoe Twinkletoe @ $2.10 – Bet Now
The Kiwi champion could be too strong for this field once again, despite having to carry 73.5kg on this occasion.
He is coming off a tough win at Pakenham and that followed up a four-length win across the Tasman. It is strong form for the Grand National and he deserves to be favourite.
The weight is a concern but he is a 13-time winner and he holds all the aces.
Race 4. (13:55) Ladbrokes Multi Builder BM78 (2400m)
#2 – Tigre Royale @ $1.85 – Bet Now
Archie Alexander lines up the five-year-old that continues to win. He made it three consecutive wins at Randwick last start and that form bodes well for this race.
He is a three-time winner over the 2400m and he owns a win on all surfaces, so track conditions won’t be an issue.
The odds are short but he should be a popular multi bet inclusion.
Race 5. (14:30) Ladbrokes Odds BM64 (1200m)
#7 – A Pinch of Luck @ $3.40 – Bet Now
The debut win for A Pinch of Luck was impressive and she could be an emerging type to follow.
She scored by six lengths at Ballarat and although it came on a synthetic surface, it is never easy to make up ground, so the win was even more impressive.
She is facing some nice types in this race so it will be a good test, but she could come through it with flying colours.
Race 6. (15:05) Ladbrokes Odds BM70 (1200m)
#6 – Frondeur @ $2.30 – Bet Now
Frondeur owns two wins from three starts and her only defeat came behind How Wowmantic at Caulfield last start.
She won at Moe on debut by 3.5 lengths before winning again at Pakenham. Both wins were of high quality and she was only 2.2 lengths behind the winner last time out.
There has been plenty of money come her way so keep safe.
Race 1. (13:00) Tab Long May We Play Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Investor @ $2.90 – Bet Now
Investor is getting closer to a win and dropping to this level should help his cause. The Hickman-trained gelding ran third at Kembla Grange last start and he doesn’t meet a strong maiden field.
He is drifting with bookmakers, which is slightly concerning, but he should be included in selections in the opener.
Race 3. (14:15) GJ’s By The Lake Maiden (1280m)
#3 – Golden Missile @ $2.35 – Bet Now
Golden Missile is nearing a win after three consecutive placings to open her career. She is a lightly-tried five-year-old that missed by a half-head at Tamworth last time out.
She wouldn’t have lost any admirers from that effort and if she gets luck from the wide draw, expect her to be fighting out the finish.
Race 5. (15:25) Dk Heavy Plant Services BM58 (1500m)
#7 – Fiery Zone @ $5.50 – Bet Now
Fiery Zone needs a bit of confidence but she is talented at best and could easily handle this field on her day.
The Cameron Crockett-trained mare has finished in the money in six of her 12 starts and that consistency shouldn’t be overlooked.
Punters are getting value each-way odds and they are worth taking.
