Sunshine Coast free tips & form

Race 1. (12:33) Sky Racing Maiden (1200m)

#8 – Arzu – Bet Now

Arzu finally scored her maiden win after 10 starts last week but was relegated after causing slight interference in the straight.

The Jason Edwards-trained four-year-old has been knocking on the door of a win and there will be plenty of punters looking to get their money back from last start.

Goes forward and she’ll take some catching again.

Race 2. (13:08) Sky Racing Maiden (1200m)

#2 – Profit – Bet Now

Three-year-old gelding Profit has a trial win coming into this and betting could tell punters the full story.

The well-bred son of Dundeel scored a one-length trial win at Doomben and that’s typically a good form guide for race day.

Gets a solid barrier draw of six and he has a strong rider in the saddle.

Race 3. (13:43) Sky Racing Maiden (1200m)

#6 – Air Spirit – Bet Now

Tony Gollan lines up the three-year-old filly which was well-backed when running third at Ipswich last start.

The daughter of Spirit of Boom couldn’t quite muster in the straight but she will only get better with more racing under her belt.

Baylee Nothdurft takes some weight off her back and everything helps in maiden grade.

Race 4. (14:18) Sky Racing BM75 (1600m)

#7 – Picka Plum – Bet Now

Picka Plum has rattled off three consecutive wins coming into this and she looks a nice type in the making.

The five-year-old mare scored an all-the-way win at Sunshine Coast earlier this month and the 2.8-length win was full of class.

Her only poor run came on debut when 12th at Sunshine Coast, but she has improved out of sight since.

Getting in with 54kg helps and Jake Bayliss is a good jockey.

Race 5. (14:53) Sky Racing C2 Handicap (1800m)

#1 – Reposition – Bet Now

It always pays to follow Chris Waller-trained runners in Queensland and Reposition looks a handy chance in this.

The five-year-old son of So You Think is coming off a last-place finish at Gold Coast but he has since won a trial and that bodes well.

Gets a good draw to jump from and jockey Ryan Maloney should have him closer to the pace.

Race 6. (15:28) Sky Racing BM65 (1000m)

#3 – Pinnacle Star – Bet Now

Pinnacle Star made a good start to this career with consecutive wins at Sunshine Coast. He wasn’t able to win last start but he was only a length behind them.

Trained by David Vandyke, the son of Starspangledbanner could make a winning return to the track having not raced since March.

He has had a trial to prepare last month and he could hit the ground running.

Race 7. (16:03) Sky Racing C3 Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Alpine Dancer – Bet Now

The four-year-old comes into this with a last-start win at Doomben and it’s a good form guide for the spring.

He’s a three-time winner from 10 starts which has been taking on good fields throughout his career and midweek level shouldn’t pose too many problems.

We’re expecting him to be well backed and run well accordingly.

Race 8. (16:38) Sky Racing C5 Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Hold The Line – Bet Now

Hold The Line is another nice runner from the Vandyke stable which hasn’t run a bad race this year.

The four-year-old mare is a four-time winner from nine starts and punters have been following her since her first run. She paid $2.38 when winning on debut and has run at short odds since.

Robbie Fradd is a good jockey to have in the saddle and his aggressive riding style gets these young horses over the line.
