Sunshine Coast horse racing tips & form

Race 1. (13:08) Wealthmed Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Moonan Me – Bet Now

Moonan Me has been threatening to win a race after four placings from six starts. The three-year-old finished second at Eagle Farm last start and that form holds up well for this race.

There are no superstars in this race and although he is facing race winners, he has more upside than most in this field.

Race 2. (13:43) Bassett Barks Maiden (1400m)

#8 – Topline – Bet Now

Steven O’Dea lines up the lightly-tried mare that has placed in four of her six starts.

The daughter of Top Echelon didn’t quite come on at Gold Coast last time out but her form prior was top notch.

She won’t take long to break maiden grades and she placed at her only attempt at Sunshine Coast.

Race 3. (14:18) Clayton’s Towing Service Maiden (1400m)

#12 – Eagles Forever – Bet Now

Eagles Forever ran sixth on this track on debut and although more was expected, he improved solidly last time out.

The Guy-trained son of Toronado ran fourth at Ipswich last month and he showed good speed throughout the run.

Barrier speed will be needed from barrier 10 and she should be able to cross the field and kick strongly at the top of the straight.

Race 4. (14:53) Joli Fashions C5 Handicap (1200m)

#1 – Epic Rant – Bet Now

Epic Rant is unbeaten after two starts at Sunshine Coast and he could remain perfect on Wednesday.

The six-year-old son of Snitzel owns three wins from his last four starts and although sparingly raced of late, he likes running fresh up.

There will be plenty of pace in this race and he should camp on the speed and go close.

Race 5. (15:28) Acquired Awareness BM60 (1200m)

#6 – Express Fantasy – Bet Now

Express Fantasy is coming off a win at Doomben and she did it convincingly. The five-year-old is coming off a 3.5-length win and she was never headed.

The daughter of Shamexpress has yet to finish outside the first three and we’re expecting that to continue this Wednesday.

Ryan Maloney takes the ride from an inside barrier.

Race 6. (16:03) Urban Certifiers C2 Handicap (1400m)

#2 – Stylish Saga – Bet Now

Stylish Saga had every chance to win last start and although beaten, he shouldn’t have lost any admirers.

The Chris Anderson-trained gelding owns two wins from eight starts and he has been facing quality fields throughout his career.

He could start the new season in winning fashion.

Race 7. (16:38) Waterworths Nursery C1 Handicap (1800m)

#2 – War’s End – Bet Now

War’s End turned around terrible form to score at Toowoomba last time out. The Tony Gollan-trained gelding scored by 4.5 lengths and it was in stark contrast to his first two efforts.

He finished 12th on debut at Ipswich before running eighth at Doomben. He returns to better company here but the confidence should have been lifted.

Look for each-way odds on race day.

Race 8. (17:15) Tab BM68 (1000m)

#5 – Blue Odyssey – Bet Now

The four-year-old has made a good start to his career, which includes three wins and two placings.

He is coming off a solid effort at Rockhampton and although yet to win or place from four attempts at Sunshine Coast, he has upside.

Dale Smith rides and punters should get value odds.
