Sunshine Coast horse racing tips

Race 1. (12:23) Coastline BMW 1 Series (2200m)

#7 – Torrens – Bet Now

Torrens is unbeaten after three starts and he could continue the fine start to his career.

The Ethan Ensby-trained colt faces a rise in class after winning at Port Macquarie but he has shown a good turn-of-foot to win.

The son of Adelaide rises up in distance and that looks ideal. He should prove tough to beat once again and the odds should be good.

Race 2. (12:58) Coastline BMW 3 Series (1600m)

#4 – Tunero – Bet Now

Chris Waller lines up the five-year-old that is finding it tough to win but has winning claims.

He’s a son of Teofilo that owns three wins from 25 starts and loyal punters could get rewarded with a top result.

Drawing an inside barrier adds to the appeal and juicy odds should be on offer from bookmakers.

Race 3. (13:33) Coastline BMW 2YO Classic (1200m)

#6 – Queen Kay – Bet Now

Queen Kay was able to upset favourite Smart ‘N’ Sexy on debut and she’s only going to get better from that experience.

The two-year-old is well-bred by Zoustar and she took her good trial form and made it count on raceday.

It takes a good filly to do that and we’re confident of another impressive run.

Race 4. (14:12) Coastline BMW Z4 BM70 (1000m)

#8 – Invincore – Bet Now

Invincore is trained by Team Edmonds and he’s coming off a good win at Murwillumbah last month.

The four-year-old has won three of his six starts and although his form has been inconsistent at times, it hasn’t always been his fault.

Ryan Maloney should be able to give him a good run in transit and we’re expecting a tidy effort once again.

Race 5. (14:52) Coastline BMW X1 Handicap (1000m)

#2 – Spurcraft – Bet Now

Spurcraft is a winner of nine from 16 starts and although his recent form has been only fair, he could bounce back.

The six-year-old was only narrowly beaten by Guard of Honour last start where the 900m distance didn’t help his cause.

He’s classy at best and deserves to be well-backed. He only needs a good ride from the apprentice to win.

Race 6. (15:32) Coastline BMW X3 M (1200m)

#5 – Winter Passage – Bet Now

Winter Passage has turned around some average form with back-to-back wins and she could add another.

The Stuart Kendrick-trained runner was struggling to find form of old but she now has confidence after two very easy wins.

Her first came by two lengths on this track and having that recent winning experience will help her close.

Race 7. (16:12) Coastline BMW X5 (1200m)

#5 – Doctor Zous – Bet Now

Darryl Hansen lines up the gelding that has the ability to win a race like this. He showed that when scoring here two starts back by a half-length.

His run last start was better than it looked. He was only three lengths behind the winner after not getting much luck in the straight.

Drawing barrier two should see that luck turn around.

Race 8. (16:50) Coastline BMW X4 Handicap (1000m)

#12 – Clear The Bill – Bet Now

Coming off a win on this track, Clear The Bill could score a repeat win and he should be paying nice odds.

The son of Unencumbered won by a narrow margin and showed good barrier speed from the outset.

If he can lead again, he’ll be tough to hold out.

Race 9. (17:30) BMW Sunshine Coast Cup (1400m)

#1 – Crack Me Up – Bet Now

Crack Me Up is talented at best and he should be fitter for his two runs back from a spell.

The six-year-old hasn’t won for a while and a win here would surprise some, but he’s a value runner.

He made up good ground behind Vega One at Gold Coast and being on the two-week back-up should help his chances.

Race 10. (18:05) Coastline BMW X6 Handicap (1600m)

#1 – Ziemba – Bet Now

Ziemba is a talented three-year-old gelding that has won three and placed in three from seven starts.

The son of Rothesay has been right around the mark this season and despite drawing barrier 12, he should be right in the thick of the finish.

He will need a good ride but he has the ability.
