Sunshine Coast horse racing tips
Race 1. (12:18) Butler McDermott Lawyers Handicap (1000m)
#1 – Kisukano @ $2.70 – Bet Now
A winner of three from four starts, Kisukano is a talented filly with plenty of upside. She scored by two lengths at Gold Coast last start and that came over Group 1 winner Rothfire.
She is the only runner to beat Rothfire and because of that form, we can’t quite believe the price punters are getting.
Take the $2.70 as she represents odds-on money.
Race 2. (12:53) XXXX Dry 0MW (1200m)
#8 – Socialising @ $2.05 – Bet Now
Going for her fourth consecutive win is Socialising, which hasn’t been tested in recent times. She scored by 2.3 lengths last start and she has found her confidence.
Three of her four career wins have come at this distance and she scored a win at her only start at Sunshine Coast.
The odds are not surprising and she could prove tough to beat.
Race 3. (13:28) Reed Racing QLD C3 Plate (1400m)
#10 – The Driller @ $9 – Bet Now
Value is with The Driller, which has changed stables after running in Victoria. The three-year-old scored a win at Geelong two back before running second last time out.
We are not sure how that form will line up in Queensland but he looks a nice type in the making that could go close at juicy odds.
Race 4. (14:07) Stanley River Thoroughbred BM80 (1400m)
#5 – Fabulonh @ $4.80 – Bet Now
Punters should stick with Fabulonh after consecutive placings coming into this race. He is a three-time winner at Sunshine Coast and he always runs well here.
Having Jim Byrne in the saddle from barrier two should see him close to the pace and his turn-of-foot could be superior.
Money has come throughout the week and that is a good sign.
Race 5. (14:47) Fuji Xerox Business C6 (1600m)
#6 – High Power @ $4 – Bet Now
High Power hasn’t been in winning form recently but the ability is there and this race is there for the taking.
Kris Lees lines up the five-year-old that is having his first start at Sunshine Coast but it’s a track that should play to his strengths.
He wants time to warm up and his chances appear strong.
Race 6. (15:27) Access Insulation Handicap (1000m)
#2 – Howwonderfullifeis @ $2.80 – Bet Now
It was a gusty win from the three-year-old last start and she had to dig deep to score. The daughter of Your Song is a four-time winner from 12 starts and she could add another win.
Tony Gollan trains the rising star that doesn’t meet an easy field here but her odds are appealing for favourite punters.
Race 7. (16:03) Winx Guineas (1600m)
#7 – Knight Mariner @ $5 – Bet Now
Knight Mariner is going from strength-to-strength and although facing a rise in class, he deserves his chance.
The Gollan-trained three-year-old won at Doomben and at Ipswich this preparation, with both wins coming narrowly.
His turn-of-foot is impressive and that is why he goes on top.
Race 8. (16:48) Tab Glasshouse Handicap (1400m)
#6 – Soxagon @ $2.30 – Bet Now
Soxagon has won three of his four starts this campaign and he gets into this race ideally on the weights.
The Matt Currie-trained son of Rocker scored an emphatic 1.3-length win at Doomben last start where he controlled the race throughout.
He owns a win at Sunshine Coast and we’re happy to take anything above $2.
Race 9. (17:25) Kendrick Racing C6 Plate (1000m)
#13 – Musical Genius @ $6 – Bet Now
Musical Genius is fresh up and she has been prepared with a solid trial effort. The five-year-old is a six-time winner from 16 starts, so she has quality on her side.
She is a two-time winner fresh up and punters are getting value odds in the final race of the day. Take the $6 in a race that is there for the taking.
