Race 1. (13:30) Bet365 Never Ordinary Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Simply Luscious @ $3.80
Simply Luscious ran eighth on debut at Sandown, but the three-year-old filly should be better for the spell under her belt.
She comes off two Flemington jumpouts, and getting the inside draw should see her jump well and be switched on.
The early betting support is a good sign.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 2. (14:00) Bet365 Protest Promise Maiden (1000m)
#7 – Miss Lottie @ $4.20
Miss Lottie wasn’t far away when running second at Yarra Valley, and she’s good enough to go one better on Tuesday.
The four-year-old mare by Overshare owns two placings from three starts overall, so she has been knocking on the door.
Getting the inside draw with 3kg coming off her back is ideal.
Stake: 3 Units
Race 3. (14:30) Hygain Maiden (1450m)
#7 – Finale @ $2.15
We’re not sure how Finale hasn’t won a race yet, but after posting five placings from 10 starts, she’s long overdue.
The four-year-old daughter of Extreme Choice ran only 1.6 lengths behind the winner fresh up, so she doesn’t need to improve much on that.
Money is coming for her, so include her in multis.
Stake: 5 Units
Race 4. (15:00) Carlton Draught Maiden (1980m)
#10 – The Ambassador @ $6.50
The Ambassador has run sixth in two career starts at Pakenham and Donald, and punters should expect better now.
She was only 1.7 lengths behind the winner as a $16.00 chance last time out, and we’re not surprised by the shorter each-way odds.
She gets the inside draw, so she gets the run in her favour.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 5. (15:30) Kevin Hicks Real Estate BM58 (1000m)
#6 – Sea Mist @ $2.70
Sea Mist won well fresh up last preparation, and based on that performance, she goes on top of our selections.
The four-year-old mare by Headwater won at Terang before rising in class and running ninth at Flemington behind Pondalowie.
Her recent trial was good, so she can’t be overlooked.
Stake: 2 Units
Race 6. (16:00) John Sanderson Machinery BM58 (1450m)
#4 – Henry’s Blade @ $4.60
Henry’s Blade was too good for them at Donald last start, and we always like form at Donald during the spring.
The four-year-old son of Harry Angel scored by a nose as a $1.65 favourite, and getting the inside draw adds to his appeal.
Punters get each-way odds to enjoy.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 7. (16:30) Dunlop Super Dealer Shepparton BM58 (1450m)
#5 – Innocent Moves @ $5.50
Innocent Moves is getting close to posting an overdue win after consecutive fifths at Geelong and Wodonga.
The five-year-old daughter of Supido is only a one-time winner from 18 starts, but with nine placings under her belt, she is consistent.
Money has come for her at each-way odds, so include her in picks.
Stake: 2.5 Units
Race 8. (17:00) Bet365 Tatura Cup Nov 23 BM58 (1600m)
#3 – Bower Boy @ $5.50
Bower Boy won well two back at Wangaratta, and something similar to that would be good enough to go close.
The four-year-old son of Highland Reel owns a win and three placings from seven starts, and some moisture in the surface would help.
It’s an even betting field, and he has enough talent to win.
Stake: 2 Units
