The nine-year-old son of Camelot is a nine-time winner overall, and it won’t take him long to post another win over the hurdles.

Race 3. (13:40) Laurie Kenna Hurdle BM115 (3200m)

#1 – Stockman

Stockman loomed to win last time out before settling for second, but it was an excellent first-up run.

The Symon Wilde-trained jumper has more flat speed than most horses in this race, and although he’s not always the best over jumps, he makes up for it on the flat.

71.5kg goes on his back, but class is enough to take him close.

Race 4. (14:20) Bill Roycroft Steeplechase BM120 (3200m)

#1 – Noonday Gun

It pays to overlook his fresh up run at Flemington on the flat, as he was needing the run to build fitness levels.

The talented jumper showed his ability when winning three consecutive races last preparation before falling at Ballarat as the $1.75 favourite.

75.5kg is a massive weight, but he has the class advantage over this field.

Race 5. (14:55) Jeh Spencer Memorial Steeplechase (3850m)

#1 – Stern Idol

Boasting 16 wins is Stern Idol, and the champion steeplechaser demands respect against the small field.

The nine-year-old gelding has yet to race at Terang, but that’s unlikely to matter against only three rivals, with only one of them having experience at the track.

He is all class, and he can carry the weight to victory.

Race 6. (15:33) Terang & District Co-Op Highweight (2150m)

#3 – Cousins Day

Cousins Day went awfully close last start when running second at Hamilton, and she’s good enough to go one better.

The five-year-old mare by Kermadec showed her ability when winning at Terang earlier this preparation, and having winning form here is ideal.
