The Galaxy Form Guide & Tips

Redzel ($4.60) Bet Now

Two-time Everest winner and it would be a mistake to rule out his chances. He has drifted throughout the week in the betting despite owning good wet track form.

That could mean he’s not working in the best order, we’re unsure… but the 14-time winner demands respect and he’s right in the mix.

Ball of Muscle (Best Roughie – $15) Bet Now

In career-best form after returning from a bleeding-enforced break to win the Group 2 Challenge Stakes last start.

That was a tremendous effort and the three-time winner on soft tracks won’t mind the conditions.

Joe Pride has him in great order and he could offer punters with great value.

Pierata (Best Each Way – $9.50) Bet Now

Longer in the odds than we expected at $8.50. Wasn’t all that far behind them in the Canterbury Stakes last start and he has good wet track form.

Has run out of the money in only four of his 16 starts and that consistency could be enough to see him fight out the finish.

Nature Strip ($4.80) Bet Now

Looks a 1000m horse after failing to impress in the Oakleigh Plate last time out. Doesn’t handle pressure very well and the opposition will likely apply it here.

Enigmatic type which has all the ability needed to win this race but he’s hard to trust and $4.80 isn’t a good price for that risk.

Wet track could actually help his chances however.

Jungle Edge ($17) Bet Now

The best wet-track performer in the field with all 15 of his career wins coming in the wet, but he’s not racing in good enough form currently.

He ran last behind Trapeze Artist last start and they’re not going to go any slower in this.

Graff (Best Bet – $5) Bet Now

Has run two quality races this preparation when fourth behind In Her Time and fourth behind Sunlight at Group 1 level.

The three-year-old colt was always going to appreciate some fitness under his belt and he should be able to handle conditions.

Punters haven’t come for him as strongly as predicted but we’ll happily take the $5.50 on offer.

Kaepernick ($67) Bet Now

Firmed into $41 after opening at $61 but has since drifted back out to $67 and he’s unlikely to feature in the placings here. The seven-year-old gelding is past his best and he should be aimed at something slightly easier.

Viridine ($6) Bet Now

Four-year-old gelding which has always been a winning threat and he made good ground behind Ball of Muscle last time out.

That was a good form indicator for this race and with only 52kg on his back, that brings him right into contention.

Rising star with enough class to win.

I Am Excited ($23) Bet Now

Capable type which scored a win at its only rain-affected start. The four-year-old mare ran third at Randwick last start and although that form is below what she’ll face here, she’s a chance at the weights.

Carrying 51kg helps for this two-time winner at Rosehill.

Encryption ($20) Bet Now

Comes through the Oakleigh Plate after running seventh of 22 runners behind Sunlight. That form should stack up well for this and 51kg helps.

From the in-form Cummings stable and we wouldn’t put anything out of the equation for them at the moment.

Easy Eddie ($17) Bet Now

Deserves a chance in the top grades after scoring at Rosehill last start and he’s a speedy type with 51kg on his back.

Probably the second stringer from the Pride stables but the eight-time winner enjoys the wet and with three wins from five starts this campaign, the confidence is up.

Nice odds on offer.

Tribal Wisdom ($51) Bet Now

Hasn’t had much exposure to this level of racing but did run fourth behind Osborne Bulls on this track in March last year.

Hasn’t raced for almost a year so would pay to watch.

Baller ($46) Bet Now

No luck last start but that came against much easier opposition. Would take some improving to win this.
