The Quokka Tips for Trifecta
Punters should have five runners on their ticket for The Quokka trifecta. We recommend taking a boxed percentage trifecta. Spend what you want, and the payouts can be massive.
- Amelia’s Jewel
- King of Sparta
- Super Smink
- Overpass
- Bella Nipotina

The Quokka First-Four Tips
We have included seven runners for our Quokka first-four. Boxing all seven selections for a percentage can still result in a huge payout, and you spend what you want.

- King of Sparta
- Super Smink
- Overpass
- Bella Nipotina
- Ripcord
- Oscar’s Fortune

The Quokka Form Guide & Tips
(1) Overpass ($4.80)
The defending champion returns and he loves racing at Ascot.
He’s unbeaten in two Group 1 races in the west, so we’re not leaving him out of selections at the each-way odds.
(2) King of Sparta (Best Each Way – $8.00)
A strong type coming off two impressive wins in Sydney. There’s nothing wrong with that form, and the odds are better than expected.
(3) Malkovich ($26.00)
His lack of recent winning form is a worry, despite showing improvement when second last time out.
He needs to lift to win The Quokka.
(4) Triple Missile ($81.00)
Only fair when resuming and he needs a lot of things to go his way, hence the big odds.
(5) Waitak ($51.00)
The Kiwi isn’t the best sprinter New Zealand has, but he looked good winning twice earlier this preparation.
We’re unsure if his best is good enough to measure up here.
(6) Saloon Bar ($151.00)
A nice enough type but at much easier levels. We can’t entertain the long odds.
(7) Bella Nipotina ($6.00)
A quality big race performer coming off a second placing behind Chain of Lightning in the T.J. Smith.
Punters have every reason to include her in selections at the each-way odds.
(8) Amelia’s Jewel (Best Bet – $3.30)
That was a huge run from Amelia’s Jewel in defeat last start, and it should be a great form guide for The Quokka.
She’s a fantastic thoroughbred, and she has yet to finish worse than second in 10 attempts at Ascot, so she goes on top.
(9) Ripcord ($21.00)
The three-year-old looks to have a bright future and he enters calculations.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see him finish close, so include him in first four picks.
(10) Oscar’s Fortune ($6.00)
Good enough to beat Amelia’s Jewel last time out, which is an excellent form guide.
He puts himself in the race from the draw, and having William Pike riding adds to his appeal.
(11) Wild Belle ($31.00)
She is seeking three wins on the bounce, but this might be too much for her. Wait until she drops back in class.
(12) Almighty Class ($51.00)
Another runner doing well against easier company. However, he is likely to struggle against the depth of this field.
(13) Super Smink (Best Roughie – $31.00)
A good fresh up performer, who owns three wins and five placings from eight attempts at Ascot.
Better odds than we expected, so we’re happy to include the filly at the price.
(14) Petula ($51.00)
Consistent in lower grades. A nice type in the making, but she should struggle to keep up.
(15) Comfort Me ($101.00)
Based on his fresh up run, we can’t see him figuring in the finish.
(16) Red Can Man ($101.00)
Smart on his day, but his best days might be behind him.
(17) Hot Zed ($101.00)
Not running well enough, and unlikely to get into the field.
(18) Gemma’s Son ($91.00)
Would need some scratchings to make the final field.
