Thursday horse racing tips

Wangaratta

Race 2. (14:00) Master King Security Maiden (1000m)

#7 – Enuff Roses @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Enuff Roses has firmed throughout the week after opening at $3.60. The four-year-old mare showed potential when running second at Warrnambool fresh up.

Her effort last time out when sixth at Bendigo wasn’t as impressive, but not everything went her way in a tough maiden event.

The betting move is encouraging, so put her on top.

Race 4. (15:00) 3ne & Edge FM Maiden (1170m)

#13 – Queen of Sass @ $3.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

The four-year-old mare showed ability when running second in her first two races, which came at Wangaratta.

She started her career by running a nose behind the winner before handling the wet conditions to finish second by a nose again.

Her effort last start at Geelong wasn’t as good, but she got a deserved break and should come back a stronger type.

Race 6. (16:00) Ovens Ford Wangaratta BM64 (1170m)

#11 – Kuna Magic @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Clayton Douglas lines up the daughter of Eurozone who could get back to her best form.

She won on debut at Sapphire Coast before coming to Melbourne and running third at Moonee Valley behind Passionate Lass.

She wasn’t far behind a nice type last start, so we’re expecting that form to stack up nicely at this level.

Race 8. (17:00) Wangaratta Bearings BM64 (2000m)

#8 – Designs @ $1.95 – Bet @ Sportsbet

It’s about time Designs capped off consistent form with another win. The daughter of Vancouver ran second at Sandown last start and she could pay off loyal punters.

She owns one win and seven placings from 12 starts, so she has been around the mark throughout her career.

The odds-on price is fair and we’re confident of another big effort.

Gosford

Race 1. (13:15) Central Coast Granite C1 (1900m)

#4 – Spaltet @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Spaltet scored a win on debut at Donald before moving to New South Wales and running three solid races.

The Annabel Neasham-trained son of Savabeel comes off a close third placing at Rosehill and city form stacks up nicely at Gosford.

His second win is only a matter of time and he maps nicely in this contest.

Race 2. (13:50) Jet Black Pavements C1 Handicap (1200m)

#3 – Midori Beauty @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Looking to remain unbeaten is Midori Beauty, who scored by a nose on debut at Gosford.

Having winning experience on this track is ideal and the three-year-old son of Deep Field could have a bright future.

Betting moves on race day will be the best guide.

Race 4. (15:05) Aubrey Brown Lawyers Maiden (1000m)

#10 – Wolf Queen @ $2.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Wolf Queen finished second on debut at Mudgee as a $1.75 favourite and she could go one better.

The three-year-old filly by Tivaci was only a half-length behind the winner and the money has come for her again. She opened at $3.40 and that price was taken immediately, which is a good sign.

Barrier 12 isn’t ideal but she has barrier speed to counter it.

Race 6. (16:15) George Brand Terrigal BM64 (1100m)

#6 – Twitch @ $2.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet

Twitch has finished in the first two in all three career starts, which is an impressive record.

The four-year-old mare resumed this season with a second placing at Gosford, which came by only a nose behind Forzanini.

The daughter of I Am Invincible has since won a trial at Warwick Farm and that form is good enough to win.
