Toowoomba horse racing tips & form
Race 1. (12:33) Happy 60th Bday Woody Maiden (1000m)
#3 – Reality – Bet @ Sportsbet
Reality has had three starts for three placings and her effort to run third at Eagle Farm was impressive.
The four-year-old gelding was only a length behind the winner and he gets every chance from barrier two on Wednesday.
It’s not an easy maiden field but she will be right around the mark.
Race 2. (13:08) Ampol Toowoomba C3 Plate (1300m)
#8 – I Promise You – Bet @ Sportsbet
I Promise You comes off two wins from her last three starts, including a win at Eagle Farm last time out.
The three-year-old filly has been around the mark throughout her career and although yet to race on this track, she is capable of handling it.
Larry Cassidy rides and having a senior jockey in the saddle helps her cause.
Race 3. (13:43) Black & White Cabs C3 Plate (1300m)
#1 – Harryandthetiger – Bet @ Sportsbet
The six-year-old gelding owns three wins and seven placings from 22 starts, so he has the experience edge over many of these.
He comes off a few disappointing runs, but his best form comes at Toowoomba where he owns three wins and five placings.
Barrier four is ideal and he should be right around the mark.
Race 4. (14:18) K Gough Donate Maiden (1300m)
#9 – I Am Superior – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Chris Anderson-trained three-year-old is getting close to a win after posting a third placing at Gold Coast last start.
He has been steadily improving throughout his career and finishing 1.2 lengths behind the winner was a good effort.
Punters should get value odds and carrying 55kg with Cassidy on his back is ideal.
Race 5. (14:53) View Hotel Brisbane BM68 (1850m)
#12 – Aeecee Sacred – Bet @ Sportsbet
Aeecee Sacred hasn’t shown much consistency throughout his career but he looked good when breaking maiden grades three back.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding hasn’t been able to follow it up with much, but he gets into this race nicely on the weights.
54kg is ideal and we think he could improve significantly this time in.
Race 6. (15:28) Carpet One C3 Handicap (1200m)
#8 – Cherry Soda – Bet @ Sportsbet
Cherry Soda comes off a maiden win at Sunshine Coast and we think she can rise through the grades this season.
The Barry Baldwin-trained three-year-old capped off solid form with the win and she showed a fine turn-of-foot in the victory.
The inside draw with 54kg is ideal and punters should get a value price.
Race 7. (16:03) Qld Electrical Solutions Handicap (1000m)
#3 – Piracy – Bet @ Sportsbet
Piracy was a winner three starts and although it came at Dalby against two other runners, it gave him some confidence.
His most recent run was a second placing behind Skins at Doomben, which is a terrific form guide for this race on Wednesday.
Barrier four is ideal and punters should get each-way odds.
Race 8. (16:38) Sheppard Earthmoving BM72 (1200m)
#8 – Dis Dah Wun – Bet @ Sportsbet
Dis Dah Wun ended her winning streak at four when running fourth last start, but she is capable of bouncing back.
The Sears-trained four-year-old finished two lengths behind Centrefire and although beaten, she wasn’t far behind some smarts.
She is unbeaten from two starts at Toowoomba and she should prove tough to hold out in the last race.
