We have expert betting tips for the cards this Tuesday at Pakenham and Scone.
There is plenty of value on offer for punters and we have picked out the best races throughout the day on Tuesday.
Tuesday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:00) Welcome Sportsbet Pakenham Maiden (1100m)
#8 – Kiani @ $3.80 – Bet Now
Kiani has had the benefit of race day experience and that should do the filly plenty of good for this race.
The Maher/Eustace-trained three-year-old ran third on debut at Ballarat and she gets similar conditions this Tuesday.
Drawing barrier five is ideal and we are expecting another tidy effort.
Race 2. (13:30) Hanson Maiden Plate (1200m)
#3 – Journey of Song @ $3 – Bet Now
Robbie Griffiths lines up the four-year-old gelding that scored back-to-back placings to prepare for this race.
The son of Sebring scored both placings at Pakenham and he has been finishing off his races in style. He came from the back of the pack two starts ago and only narrowly went down last start.
He deserves a maiden win and it could come here.
Race 4. (14:30) Evergreen Turf Maiden (2200m)
#7 – Yulong Song @ $3.50 – Bet Now
It doesn’t take the Yulong runners long to get off the mark and Yulong Song could sign the right tune here.
The Lindsay Park-trained son of Galileo has been steadily rising in distance and heading over 2200m looks ideal this time around.
He made steady ground over 1600m last start but he needed more and gets it.
Race 5. (15:00) John Duff & Co BM78 (2200m)
#5 – Magazine @ $2.30 – Bet Now
Magazine is a nice type and she showed that when winning at Wangaratta two starts back. The 2.8-length win was followed by a placing at Cranbourne and it bodes well for this race.
She was racing in Adelaide earlier this preparation without much luck. Her record could have been more impressive had some come her way, but racing at Pakenham looks suitable.
She gets the inside draw and John Allen in the saddle.
Race 7. (16:00) Ecycle Solutions BM58 (1400m)
#5 – Algaffaal @ $26 – Bet Now
Big odds are with Alfaffaal, which has shown glimpses of form throughout its time in Australia.
The Rachel Frost-trained gelding finished second at Pakenham last year and although beaten since, he hasn’t been disgraced.
The former Sydney runner is capable of beating this field and his odds shouldn’t be overlooked.
Race 2. (13:50) Congrats Aaron Bullock Maiden (1300m)
#14 – Virtuous Miss @ $1.75 – Bet Now
Money has come for Virtuous Miss, which ran second on debut at Scone and is capable of going one better.
The Kris Lees-trained daughter of Headwater was a half-length behind Pinnacle Prince and that form looks strong for this race.
She gets an inside draw and carries only 55kg on her back. That should be enough to see her fighting out the finish.
Race 3. (14:25) Yarraman Park Maiden (1000m)
#7 – Not Another Reiby @ $3.50 – Bet Now
John Sargent lines up the three-year-old debutante that comes into this race having won a trial at Randwick.
The 2.3-length win holds the son of Denman in good stead and we are expecting to see money come his way on race day.
He is in good hands and although 1000m could be short of his best, his speed was on display at the trials.
Race 4. (15:05) Congratulations Kris Lees Maiden (1000m)
#1 – Crystal Falls @ $2.20 – Bet Now
Crystal Falls drops significantly in grade for this race and punters should see an immediate form reversal.
The four-year-old mare has run behind the likes of Kiamichi, Microphone, Castelvecchio, and Villami. That is some form coming into a maiden contest and she should be winning shortly.
Betting will be a good indication of how forward she is for this run so watch the tote.
Race 6. (16:20) Markey Saddlery Premiership C2 (1300m)
#9 – Scorched Land @ $4.20 – Bet Now
Steady money has come for Scorched Land throughout the week, which has seen his odds firm from $4.80 to $4.20.
The Todd Howlett-trained son of Sizzling is coming off a win at Taree and that was his second win from his last three starts.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and we are expecting a tidy effort.
