Tuesday horse racing tips
Race 1. (13:15) Stramit Maiden (1300m)
#9 – Victorine @ $2.70 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Victorine looked much better when running third at Randwick last start and that form stacks up nicely.
The two-year-old filly by Kermadec was only 2.3 lengths behind the winner Troach, so we’re not surprised by the betting support.
Carrying a light weight with Kerrin McEvoy riding helps.
Race 3. (14:25) Klingspor Maiden Handicap (1100m)
#4 – Camino Real @ $2.25 – Bet @ Sportsbet
James Cummings could start the day well with Camino Real, who has faced some tricky fields to start her career.
The three-year-old daughter of Shamardal ran fourth at Canterbury behind Mazu and Conrad, so she should have the class edge on this field.
Barrier two helps and she should go close.
Race 5. (15:40) Kincrome BM64 (1350m)
#4 – Pono Kitoro @ $3.10 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Odds for Pono Kitoro are drifting, but the three-year-old is the one they all have to beat.
The daughter of Reliable Man scored by 2.8 lengths on this track and her trial form has been solid enough in two starts since.
It’s another strong ride for McEvoy and he should get a nice drag into the race from barrier six, so put her on top.
Race 6. (16:15) Infrabuild C1 Handicap (1000m)
#1 – Translation @ $3 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Translation comes from Melbourne with solid form and it’s only a matter of time before she scores another win.
The three-year-old filly by Frosted already has a win and five placings from 10 starts, so she’s not lacking experience.
Her recent trial to place at Hawkesbury was sound and it bodes well for a quality debut performance in Sydney.
Race 1. (10:30) Vale Jack Styring Maiden (975m)
#10 – Centrefoldstar @ $2.20 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The Maher/Eustace-trained filly has been hammered in the betting after opening at $2.80 and that’s a good sign.
She is a daughter of Starspangledbanner who finished second Rainbiel in a jumpout, and Rainbiel is a smart type.
She gets the inside draw and it could pay to follow.
Race 3. (11:30) J Arentz Electrical Maiden (1300m)
#4 – Alontro @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Alontro wasn’t far away during his first campaign, which included back-to-back placings at Ballarat.
The three-year-old son of Lonhro was 2.1 lengths behind the winner last start and he has been primed with a trial effort at Geelong.
He’s drifting with betting markets, but he’ll get every chance off the inside draw.
Race 6. (13:00) Busbiz Swan Hill BM64 (1300m)
#5 – Pretty Little Lass @ $2.45 – Bet @ Sportsbet
The three-year-old filly is rarely too far away from the prize and she doesn’t get a better chance to score.
She comes off a fourth at Pakenham when finishing under a half-length behind the winner, so it was a strong effort.
Getting the inside draw is perfect and she should rail up and fight strongly to the line.
Race 7. (13:30) The Bottle O Swan Hill BM58 (1200m)
#2 – Fine Weather @ $2.90 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Money has come for Fine Weather, who should have won more than once last preparation.
The four-year-old gelding finished second behind Ocean Heart last start and he can hit the ground running.
He carries a big weight but drawing barrier two should see him settle handy and kick.
