Tuesday horse racing tips

Seymour

Race 2. (13:00) Parker Bros Earthmoving Maiden (1200m)

#5 – Flying Nostra @ $2.60 – Bet Now

Flying Nostra is on debut for the Price/Kent stable and she is expected to make a positive outing. The daughter of Nostradamus looked good at the jumpouts and Craig Williams is a key booking.

She will need to do some work from barrier 11 but having Williams in the saddle is ideal and he rides well at these meetings.

$2.60 is a fair price from bookmakers.

Race 3. (13:30) Ben Davey Plumbing Plate (1200m)

#4 – Clever Cut @ $2.10 – Bet Now

Patrick Payne lines up the three-year-old gelding that is getting close to a winning performance. The three-year-old has had both starts at Seymour, so the experience will take him close.

He went awfully close last time out when second and he showed good speed throughout. Expect another tidy effort from the gelding and he could firm into an odds-on quote.

Race 5. (14:30) Lloyd Sound BM58 (1600m)

#9 – Lunasnit @ $4.20 – Bet Now

Danny O’Brien lines up the three-year-old filly that has mixed form this season. The daughter of Star Witness ended her campaign last preparation with a win and she should go close here.

She was only 1.7 lengths behind the winner last time out at Seymour and having another run on this track is ideal.

$4.20 is a good price for each-way punters.

Race 8. (16:00) Avenel Equine Hospital BM58 (1200m)

#14 – Flirting @ $2.15 – Bet Now

Flirting is a highly-capable type that is coming off a win and two placings. The three-year-old filly scored at Morphettville two starts back and wasn’t disgraced at Sandown last start.

That placing came on a heavy track which didn’t quite suit, but she gets a better surface here and it could see her return to winning form.

The odds are reflective of her ability so stick with her.

Wagga

Race 2. (13:40) Iron Jack Maiden (1400m)

#3 – Ma Bella Rosie @ $2.70 – Bet Now

The three-year-old filly is coming off back-to-back third placings and her maiden win isn’t far away.

She finished third at Kembla Grange two back before posting a third placing at Nowra last time out. Both runs are good form guides for this race and drawing barrier three is ideal.

Punters should get something around $2.70 on race day.

Race 4. (14:55) Kosciuszko Tickets on Sale C1 (1400m)

#3 – Just Business @ $4 – Bet Now

It was business for Just Business at Albury last start and he could score back-to-back wins. He handled the heavy conditions best and the track will be in similar order on Tuesday.

The son of Shrapnel is good enough to beat a field of this nature, now that the confidence is up following his maiden win.

$4 is a fair price and well worth taking.

Race 5. (15:35) MTC Wagga Gold Cup May 1 C1 (1200m)

#2 – Gunzar @ $3.80 – Bet Now

Gunzar is coming off some handy form this preparation and he is heading in the right direction.

The four-year-old gelding ran second at Albury last start and that followed a win at Goulburn by 2.5 lengths. It was an upset performance but he’s at much shorter odds this time around.

We’re expecting his form to continue to improve and he should be competitive.

Race 6. (16:10) XXXX Gold BM58 (1200m)

#3 – Kruanui @ $3.80 – Bet Now

Kruanui is in good form following two wins and a second placing. The Heywood-trained gelding scored back-to-back wins at Narromine and Wagga, before running well with a big weight last start.

Conditions look ideal for this race and given his experience of 26 starts at Wagga, he knows this track very well.

Drawing barrier two should see him land in a good spot and fight strongly.
