Tuesday horse racing tips

Taree

Race 1. (12:50) Towers Smash Repairs C1 (2018m)

#6 – Grecian Lass @ $2 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Grecian Lass looked good when winning two starts back at Canterbury and that form is tough to overlook.

The Kris Lees-trained three-year-old scored by a nose before running fifth at Scone and she’s better than what she showed on that occasion.

She’s a daughter of Fastnet Rock and her breeding should take her close.

Race 3. (14:05) Royal Hotel Taree BM58 (1007m)

#8 – Three Penny Opera @ $5 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

The three-year-old filly comes off a win at Port Macquarie and it came by five lengths, so she demands attention.

She could rise through the grades this winter and she has no problems handling the heavy surfaces in New South Wales.

Barrier 11 won’t be an issue over this distance and we like the odds available.

Race 4. (14:40) Eddelbuttel Law BM58 (1614m)

#4 – Yorikiri @ $2.60 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Yorikiri scored back-to-back wins earlier this preparation at Port Macquarie and Taree and his form since has been solid.

The three-year-old son of Mikki Isle comes off a second placing at Taree and he’s a past winner at Scone, so the form checks out.

Getting the inside draw is ideal and the money should come.

Race 6. (15:55) Country Plaza Motel Taree C3 (1257m)

#1 – Denetta @ $2.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Denetta is gunning for four consecutive wins and she has made a terrific start to her career.

The three-year-old daughter of Denman started her win streak at Dubbo before adding wins at Hawkesbury and Muswellbrook.

All three wins came over this distance and getting 2kg off her back should see her right in the thick of the action again.

Bairnsdale

Race 1. (13:00) Patties Foods Maiden (1600m)

#14 – Wahoo Flyer @ $2.40 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Wahoo Flyer has shown good consistency throughout her career with four placings from five starts and she deserves a win.

The three-year-old daughter of Real Impact comes off a third placing at Pakenham fresh up and she showed a good turn-of-foot, which is ideal.

Getting barrier six should see her go close.

Race 3. (14:00) Four’n Twenty Taste Maiden (1200m)

#10 – Lochend Umosa @ $6.50 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Lochend Umosa has shown enough ability to far to warrant attention at the generous odds.

The four-year-old mare finished third at Bairnsdale two starts back before finishing fourth at Sale last start, which was a fair effort.

We’re loving the $6.50 available.

Race 4. (14:30) Sparkle Superstars Maiden (2200m)

#5 – Hurley’s Hero @ $3.90 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Hurley’s Hero is another runner getting close to breaking through after posting his third placing from four starts at Sale.

The Williams-trained son of Lionhearted relished the rise in distance when running a nose behind the winner. A repeat of that effort takes him close and punters get odds worth snapping up.

Race 6. (15:30) LMB Constructions BM58 (1000m)

#11 – Velicina @ $5 – Bet @ Ladbrokes

Velicina has been well-backed throughout the week after winning a trial at Cranbourne and her best form takes her close.

The four-year-old daughter of Written Tycoon owns one win and two placings from six starts, so it has been a solid start to her career.

Punters still get each-way odds to enjoy and they’re worth taking.
